Pilgrimage to Our Holy Mother Shrines Lourdes, , Montserrat, , , , , Fatima, September 24 – October 07, 2017

Dear pilgrims, May 13, 2017 marks the 100th anniversary that Our Lady first appeared to three shepherd children in the small village of Fatima in Portugal: Lucia (9) and her cousins Francisco (8) and Jacinta (6). From that first visit in May of 1917, Our Lady would appear five more times with the last appearance on October 13, 1917 with the Miracle of the Sun.

The message from heaven of Our Lady of Fatima has proven to be a prophetic apparition in this past century. The Fatima message continues to hold relevance especially in the present and future for individuals, families, and our world who are desperately seeking God’s peace.

As the world approaches the 100th anniversary of the last apparition marked by the Miracle of the Sun, come join me on a special and meaningful pilgrimage to prepare yourself for consecrating your life (and my parish, Christ the King) to the Immaculate Heart of Mary! DAY 2 - ARRIVE TOULOUSE / TRANSFER TO LOURDES: Upon arrival in Toulouse we will meet our representative, who will escort us to our motor coach. Transfer to Lourdes. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 3 – LOURDES Sanctuary of our Lady in Lourdes Morning sightseeing of Lourdes where in 1858 Mary appeared to young Bernadette Soubirous. We will celebrate Mass at the . We will visit the sites of Lourdes including the Grotto, the Spring and the healing Baths, as well as the Basilica of St. Pius X, the Rosary Basilica and Bernadette's home. The afternoon is free for Adoration, Confessions, a time for private devotion, reciting the Rosary, and relaxation before dinner. Following dinner, we will join the Candlelight Procession. DAY 4 – LOURDES – BARCELONA This morning we depart to Barcelona and drive along the Spanish Riviera with its breathtaking views. Evening arrival to Barcelona. Overnight in Barcelona

DAY 5 - BARCELONA – MONTSERRAT Sanctuary of our Lady in Montserrat. Morning departure to Monserrat. Montserrat is home to the dramatically set Benedictine monastery. This Marian shrine has attracted pilgrims for over 700 years, as it did Ignatius of Loyola in of 1522. We pause here to visit the Black Madonna of Montserrat, before whom Ignatius laid his sword and exchanged his fancy clothes with a beggar. Lunch is on our own in Montserrat. Afternoon We will enjoy a panoramic tour of Barcelona, the capital of Catalunya () through the broad avenues of this beautiful city admiring its marvelous building contrasts dating back to nearly 2,000 years. We will proceed towards the Sagrada Familia Church, Gaudi’s masterpiece and one of the most daring editions of church architecture anywhere in the world. Overnight in Barcelona.

DAY 6 – BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – MADRID Sanctuary of our Lady of Pilar in Zaragoza We will depart from Barcelona to Zaragoza and we will visit the Basilica of , where we will celebrate Mass. It is here that Mary appeared to the Apostle James before her Assumption into heaven. Evening arrival to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid.

DAY 7 – MADRID Sanctuary of our Lady of Almudena in Madrid. This morning, you will awaken in the capital city of ! Following Holy Mass in the Cathedral Church, where we will venerate the Miracle Statue of Our Lady of Almudena, patroness of Madrid. After Mass we will enjoy a tour of Madrid that includes the Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor. Both sites are iconic to Madrid as the Palace holds state ceremonies and events; and the Plaza Mayor is the geographic center of Madrid, as well as the social center. Overnight in Madrid.

DAY 8 – MADRID - AVILLA - SALAMANCA Sanctuary – Birthplace of Saint Teresa of Avilla Morning we will depart to Avila and Salamanca. Avilla - The best-preserved walled city in the world and home of St. Teresa of Avila who, with her spiritual son St. John of the Cross, reformed the Carmelite Order. We will visit the Carmelite Monastery and celebrate Mass there. We will visit the cell where St. Teresa lived and see relics of Saints Teresa and John of the Cross. We'll also tour the ancient city of Avila where architecture and culture remain the same as centuries ago. On our way to Fatima we will stop in Salamanca. We will visit the Cathedral Nueva, the Cathedral Vieja in Salamanca. Overnight in Salam

DAY 9 – SALAMANCA – SANTAGO DE COMPOSTELA Santiago de Compostela is the destination today, as it has been throughout history, of the important 9th century medieval pilgrimage route, the Way of St. James. Overnight in Santiago de Compostela

DAY 10 - SANTAGO DE COMPOSTELA Shrine of Saint The city has its origin in the shrine of Saint James the Great, now the city's cathedral, as destination of the Way of St. James, a leading Catholic pilgrimage route originated in the 9th century. In 1985 the city's Old Town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sightseeng and religious activities in Santiago de Compostela. Overnight in Santiago de Compostela

DAY 11 - SANTAGO DE CAMPOSTELA - FATIMA After Breakfast Departure to Fatima. Overnight in Fatima

DAY 12 – FATIMA – Day to prepare yourself for consecrating your life and the Parish Christ the King to the Immaculate Heart of Mary! Sanctuary of our Lady in Fatima Today will surely be a memorable experience as you pray and meditate upon one of Our Blessed Mother’s apparition sites. Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children; Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. Morning sightseeing tour with a local guide of Fatima where in 1917 Mary appeared to local children and the "miracle of the sun" occurred. We will celebrate Mass at the Chapel of the Apparition and visit the House of Lucia, House of Francisco and Jacinta. The afternoon is free to pray, reflect and relax. After dinner we will participate in the Candlelight Procession.

DAY 13 – FATIMA- SANTAREM – LISBON Sanctuary – Birthplace of Saint Anthony of Padua

We will travel to Santarem, site of the Eucharistic miracle. Finally we will arrive in Lisbon where we will have Mass at the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua, followed by a panoramic tour of the city Lisbon. Overnight in Lisbon.
