    COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE Dès lundi, place aux Qualifications ! Paris, le 17 mai 2019 C’est parti pour l’édition 2019 de Roland-Garros ! Le tournoi commence en effet dès lundi prochain (20 mai) avec les Qualifications, qui seront disputées sur les courts de la Porte d’Auteuil jusqu’au vendredi 24 mai. Les messieurs ouvriront le bal dès 10 heures. Ils seront 128 sur la ligne de départ à se disputer les seize sésames donnant accès au tableau final. 12 joueurs français tenteront de tirer leur épingle du jeu dans un tableau traditionnellement relevé : Elliot Benchetrit, Geoffrey Blancaneaux, Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc, Corentin Denolly, Hugo Gaston, Manuel Guinard, Mattéo Martineau, Alexandre Muller et Johan-Sébastien Tatlot, qui ont décroché une invitation (wild-card), ainsi que Mathias Bourgue, Constant Lestienne et Enzo Couacaud. Le tirage au sort des qualifications messieurs se déroulera le dimanche 19 mai à 16 heures au stade Roland-Garros. Les joueuses commenceront, elles, le lendemain, soit le mardi 21 mai, à partir de 10 heures. Elles seront 96 à briguer, jusqu’au vendredi 24 mai, les douze billets qualificatifs pour le tableau final du simple dames. Parmi elles, 8 Françaises sont engagées cette année dans cette épreuve : Tessah Andrianjafitrimo, Loudmilla Bencheikh, Myrtille Georges, Elsa Jacquemot, Manon Léonard, Alizé Lim et Margot Yerolymos, qui ont bénéficié d’une invitation, ainsi qu’Océane Dodin. Le tirage au sort des qualifications dames aura lieu le lundi 20 mai, à 16 heures. Cette année, les spectateurs des Qualifications auront le privilège de découvrir en avant-première le réaménagement du Fonds de Princes ! Cette nouvelle zone particulièrement conviviale à l’extrémité ouest du stade, qui comprend sept courts, dont 5 courts de compétition (n°10, 11, 12, 13 ainsi que le n°14, livré l’an passé) et deux courts d’entraînement (n°15 et 16), offrira une meilleure accessibilité grâce à une large allée paysagère.
