ABOUT NAHAR HOSPITAL Shri Sukhraj B Nahar was born in Bhinmal and seeing the plight of the local residents need for quality medical care started a 20-bed hospital to provide better medical care. Many patients had travel from distant villages for medical care to Palanpur, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and other cities as there is a lack of proper medical care, technology, qualified doctors in this part of rural India. He felt Bhinmal needed an Iconic Hospital which had the Best of Doctors, world class machines, latest technology, convenient to travel to saving hours of travel time going to other cities and a hospital they could call their own. Nahar Hospital is situated in Bhinmal, Jalore District in Rajasthan. Jalore has a population of approximately 18.5 lacs people surrounded by around 800 villages. The surrounding districts are Sirohi, Barmer and Pali. The hospital has a close proximity to the Marwar railway station of approx 0.25 kms, Bhinmal Bus stand 2 kms and market. Air passengers can land at any of the Ahmedabad, Udaipur or Jodhpur airports and drive by road to Bhinmal. Ahmedabad is approx 203 kms, Jodhpur 207 kms and Udaipur 263 kms drive. Local buses, auto rickshaws, jeeps are the favoured transport system by the residents. Bhinmal is connected to all other major cities by road and rail network. ABOUT NAHAR HOSPITAL The 82-bed hospital is built on a large plot of 4 acres which includes the main hospital building and three other building blocks doctor’s, nurses and other staff residences. The main hospital is building is built over a sprawling 1,45,000 sq ft area. It is structurally designed and built as ground plus 1 floor for ease and convenience of the patents and their family members. Hospital has a team of around 220 well-trained medical staff and doctors from across India. ABOUT NAHAR HOSPITAL The hospital is architecturally designed in such a way that there is ample of ventilation and natural light. The colours used are white and blue, white stands for purity and peace and blue symbolises serenity and it’s a cool calming colour. There are total of 16 OPD consulting rooms, 10 on ground floor and 6 on the 1st floor. It is the only hospital in Jalore district to have MRI machine, Dialysis, Covid 19 Antibody testing with results in 15 minutes and soon will have only Blood bank storage centre.     District Survey report of Jalore District 1.0 Introduction The district derives its name from the town of Jalore, which is the headquarters of the district administration. District is located between latitudes 24º 37’ 00” to 25º 49’ 00” and longitudes 71º 11’00” to 73º 05’00” with an area of 10,640 Sq. kms (3.11% of the State). The district is part of Jodhpur Division. The district is composed of five sub-divisions viz. Jalore, Ahore, Bhinmal, Sanchore, Raniwara which cover seven tehsils viz: Jalore, Ahore, Bhinmal, Sanchore, Raniwara, Sayala, Bagora and seven blocks viz: Jalore, Ahore, Bhinmal, Sanchore, Raniwara, Sayala & Jaswantpura. Total number of villages in the district is 802 and it also has 3 urban towns. Total population of the district as per Census 2011 is 1828730 with male and female population of 936634 and 892096 respectively. Administrative divisions of Jalore district are depicted in the index map (Fig. 1). 2.0 Rainfall & Climate Average annual rainfall (1971-2012) of the district is 445.4 mm. However normal rainfall for the period 1901 to 1970 is 400.6 mm. The annual rainfall gradually decreases from southeastern part to northwestern part. Climate of the district is dry except during SW monsoon season. The cold season is from December to February and is followed by summer from March to June. Period from mid of September to end of November constitutes post monsoon season. The district experiences either mild or normal drought once in two years. Severe type of drought has been recorded at Ahore block. Most severe type of drought has been recorded at Bhinmal, Sanchore & Jaswantpura blocks.

Famous as ‘The Granite City’ Jalore, the heart of Rajasthan was once known as the land of meditation. This kingdom of wonder which illuminates the Thar enriching the land with mesmerizing glimpses. Set on the foothills of Swarngiri mountain, just 140 km from Jodhpur and 340 km from Ahemdabad, prime attractions of the District are the “Jalore fort” (one of the nine castles of maru), ‘Sundamata temple’ (about 900 years old temple of mother 2 goddess), ‘72 Jinalaya’ (spreading itself across 80 acres of land made purely of mar- 3 ble). It is also a proud home to numerous mosques, Jain and Hindu temples. Also Jalore hosts the gateway of the sacred river Narmada to the State of Rajasthan.
