2013 TPA-TDC High Performance Coaching Workshop Progressive Development of High Performance Players

Wednesday, November 20th at People’s Courts Tennis Club

9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Tennis BC (TBC) and The Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) are proud to present a TPA-TDC coaching workshop that will review coaching guidelines for stages of player’s development and recommend appropriate training programs and coaching strategies. It will count as a full recertification opportunity and will be delivered by Oded Jacob and Dimitri Penchev.

Currently the leader of the West Coast National Training Centre Program, Jacob is recognized as one of the most influen- tial and well-regarded tennis leaders in , having working with top Israeli players such as Shahar Peer, and Gram Slam champions and . He is also a former Olympic coach for his home country and cap- tained Israel’s Junior and Fed Cup teams while acting as the director of the Israeli National Tennis Centre.

BC’s Training and Competitive Program Manager, Penchev has 28 years of international coaching experience. He is a Tennis Canada’s Coach 3 and works as a Head Coach and Director of High Performance at Global Tennis Academy in Co- quitlam, BC. Penchev coaches Rosie Johanson, the 2013 U16 and U18 Singles and Doubles National Champion.

Cost: TPA Members: $49 plus HST NON Members: $99 plus HST
