WORLD GAMES 2022: LIST OF QUALIFYING EVENTS AND QUOTA

The following table shows the events that will be qualifying the IFSC Athletes for the Climbing event at World Games 2022. The timeline of the events has been updated following the postponement of the World Games from 2021 to 2022.

Please note that the events are listed in hierarchical order. In case an athlete obtains results giving him several times the right to be qualified, the quota obtained in the best event shall be counted first. Also, in terms of re-allocation procedure, the events should be considered in hierarchical order.

2. MAXIMUM QUOTA PER COUNTRY

The maximum number of athletes per each National Federation that can qualify to the 2022 IWGA World Games is fixed to 2. This maximum is intended per gender and per discipline

3. CONFIRMATION PROCESS OF QUOTA PLACES / TIMELINE

4. REALLOCATION PROCESS OF UNUSED QUOTA PLACES

All the following re-allocation steps shall always respect: - Athletes’ eligibility specified in section 1 of this document (Athlete eligibility) - The maximum number of athletes specified in section 2 of this document (Maximum quota per Country) - Hierarchical order of events

In case of unused quota place - The quota is assigned to the next best ranked athlete, not yet qualified, within the same event

*In case all available quota places at the specific event are unused (i.e., event cancelled) - The quota is assigned to the best ranked athletes, not yet qualified, at the 2021 IFSC World Championships

** In case all available quota places at the specific event are unused (i.e., event cancelled or not run) 1. The quota is assigned to the best ranked athlete, not yet qualified, of the respective Continent following the 2021 World Championships ranking In case there are not athletes of the respective Continent within the ranking of the 2021 World Championships 2. The quota is assigned to the best ranked athlete, not yet qualified, independently to the Continent, following the 2021 World Championships ranking

***Hosting Country shall select athletes according to - Athletes’ eligibility specified in section 1 of this document (Athlete eligibility) - The maximum number of athletes specified in section 2 of this document (Maximum quota per Country) - Hierarchical order of events

The Host Country quota is available, at the end of re-allocation process, only if the hosting Country did not qualify any athletes from previous events/steps for the respective discipline and gender. Otherwise, the quota place will be re-allocated to the next best ranked athletes, not yet qualified, at the 2021 WCH.
