ORDER:

During the Police Officers Conference held on 19.12.2012, the Hon’ble Chief Minister has interalia announced that “ Jurisdiction of City Police will be made Co-terminus with the City Corporation in Madurai”

2. Based on the announcement, the Director General of Police has sent necessary proposal for Co-terminus the jurisdiction of City Police with the City Corporation of Madurai.

3. After detailed examination, the Government have decided to accept the same. The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION.

Under clause (s) of section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares that with effect on and from the10th day of December 2013, the local areas specified in column (3) of the Schedule below, shall cease to form part of the local area of the police stations specified in column (2) thereof and shall form part of the local area of the police stations specified in column (4) thereof:-
