Ordering  Price lists are MSRP. Apply your margin to all products with the exception of training and miscellaneous.  License type is required for each software order and should contain ONA, OFD, NWA, or NWD (OFD and NWD requires an additional dongle purchase).  The Part numbers and descriptions listed on the price lists are mandatory on all purchase orders.  For education software orders, select the column with the desired order quantity and multiply by the related list price.  Multi-quantity discounts are available for software only. 2-4 quantity 15% discount; 5-9 quantity 20% discount. See your regional sales manager for details.  If any purchase orders refers to a quote, the following needs to be stated “refer to the quote for all pricing and terms and conditions”.  Please review capabilities of each available license type. Refer to the 3D Systems Geomagic Software License Types section in this document.  Refer to the same Geomagic Order Checklist for any questions.

Discount Packages  Must be at least two different scan software only products; no limits, as long as products differ. See Scan Based Design & Inspection price list for products that qualify. Training, Dongles and lapsed fee are not included.  Full price on first product; indicate “-ADD” at the end of the less expensive product to receive a 50% discount.  All products must be on one PO. One customer.  Valid on both commercial and educational software products.  Qualifying software maintenance renewals must be part of a previous discount package and have the same maintenance expiration dates.

Training  Varies by territories. See your RSM for details.

Demonstration Packages To become an authorized channel partner, you must have an enabling agreement to sell the specific product and a demonstration system in your inventory if required. Demonstration units (hardware) are purchased through 3D Systems at the same discount as your margin. All “Not for Resale” licenses can only be used for non-revenue generating opportunities.

Maintenance Renewals Channel partners who sell maintenance renewals to customers are responsible for tracking maintenance expiration dates and handling first tier support and quoting. If the channel partner does not satisfy all the requirements, they will not be able to submit a quote for maintenance renewals. Expired maintenance renewals require a lapsed fee and a minimum of one year maintenance. Only one lapsed fee should be applied per an opportunity. If a customer decides to renew with a new channel partner and/or 3D Systems, the customer must put forth such a request in writing and submit with the purchase order.

3D Systems Geomagic Software License Types

3D Systems Geomagic Software offers flexible licensing options to meet your licensing needs.

ONA – Online Activation (Virtual Dongle) The ONA is our standard license type as well as the most preferred option. Think of it as an online library book, you must be online to check it in or out from our license server via the internet. We never limit the number of times a user can to check it in or out; however, it cannot be used simultaneously on different computers. The license may be used offline for up to 30 days. At that time, you will be prompted to connect to the internet and relaunch the software to revalidate your license. change 30 to 15.

OFD – Offline Dongle Our OFD license type is an encrypted USB hardware key that can be used offline permanently by simply plugging into the machine that is being licensed. To use the software on a new machine, the physical USB dongle moves to the new machine.  OFD licenses require the purchase of a dongle at an additional cost.

NWA – Network Activation Our NWA license type or “Enterprise Solution”, runs on a separate license manager application that is provided to your IT team to host. This option requires an internet connection for the license server hosting the network license. Your IT team can manage the check in/out process locally rather than through our system directly. Users accessing the license only need to be able to connect to your license server over the local network to check in/out a license.  Licenses can be borrowed for up to 15 days without having to connect to the license server.

NWD – Network Dongle Our NWD option is a combination of a NWA and an OFD license, similar to the price of a NWA but has the OFD capabilities. The dongle is connected to the license server on the network, and licenses are checked in and out locally, without the need of an internet connection. The dongle must be installed directly on the server hosting the license manager application.  NWD licenses require the purchase of a dongle at an additional cost.

DSN – Dark Site Network Activation Our DSN license type allows users to maintain their network licensing locally and completely offline without the use of a hardware dongle. We offer this special licensing method for customers who are located in a highly secure and managed IT environment.  Please see your Regional Sales Manager for pricing.

Educational Licenses & Hardware Qualifying organizations founded and united for the purpose of sharing knowledge and skills from one generation to another through teaching, training, or research. These licenses and hardware will not be involved in commercial activities. Student licenses are not considered educational licenses.

The following type of institutions qualify for Geomagic software and hardware educational packages:  Colleges, universities, or other institutions part of a school system.  Private or public institutions  Research and development centers affiliated to a school’s institutions.  Non-profit organizations

If the organization purchasing 3D Systems education software does not fit the criteria listed above, please reach out to your Regional Sales Manager further direction.

Replacement Dongles Defective dongles will be replaced at no additional cost. Broken dongles on maintenance will be charged for a new dongle only. Broken dongles off maintenance and on the current release, can have their license transferred to new a dongle for a dongle fee, lapsed fee, and maintenance renewal. Stolen dongles will require a police report. A customer who had the dongle stolen will need to be on active maintenance. They will have the option of receiving an online activation license at no charge or purchasing a new dongle. Lost dongles are not replaced. Customers of lost dongles must purchase a new license and dongle. Please reach out to your regional 3D Systems Technical Support team for more details (see 3D Systems Technical Support locations section).  Off-maintenance customers can become active by purchasing a maintenance renewal and paying any lapsed fees.  Dongle request form will need to be completed

Transfers We will transfer licenses within a company as long as it is not outside the country (see EULA) and the customer has active maintenance. A transfer request form will need to be completed and sent to your regional sales manager. We will not transfer licenses/hardware outside a company. Demonstration units can be transferred to customer accounts with prior written approval.

Upgrades A customer may exchange their software license for an upgrade if available. The customer will receive a credit for the license and be charged for the new license and first year maintenance. An exchange request form will need to be completed and sent to your regional sales manager. Software only.

License Type Changes A customer may change their software license type (ONA, OFD, NWA, etc.). The customer will receive a credit for the license and be charged for the new license (+dongle if an offline dongle license) and first year maintenance (if maintenance has expired). An exchange request form will need to be completed and sent to your regional sales manager. Software only.
