To utilize these features, access your SWAN account by noon – 5:00 p.m. clicking on the yellow “My Account” button on the library homepage and entering your name, library card number, and PIN. Closed: If you are planning a vacation and don’t want to lose your place on a waiting list for library materials, use the Wednesday, July 4 “Freeze Holds” feature by checking the “Freeze” box that corresponds with the item you are not ready to receive. Your hold will continue to move up the queue; once it reaches the top, it will remain there until you uncheck the "Freeze" box. You may now choose to receive weekly emails that list items recently added to SWAN that match your customized criteria. Once you conduct a search and see a list of interesting items, click on the “Save as preferred search” button at the top of the screen. To initiate the emails, visit your Preferred Searches and check the box “Mark for Email.” Multiple “Wish Lists” may be created to help organize items you may want to request in the future.
