  • 2017 Sabotra Yearlingsa
NOTES Message from Harness Racing SA Chairman, Chris Hartwig On behalf of HRSA I am delighted to see the expanded 2017 Yearling Sale build upon the success of last year’s event. This is the 3rd iteration of the re-birth of the SA Yearling Sale, and I would like to congratulate BOTRA and their Sales Committee for their efforts in making this sale happen. HRSA recognises the importance of a viable and healthy breeding industry. Initiatives such as the SAMOS (SA Mares Ownership Scheme) and Southern Cross Racing Series are continually being reviewed to ensure that they contribute strongly to our industry. In addition to SAMOS and Southern Cross, HRSA see the Yearling Sale as an important element of the breeding industry. Over the past 3 years HRSA has increased its involvement with the sale, providing administrative and promotional support leading up to the event, as well as on the day and post-sale. In addition, the HRSA Board recently announced that any yearling sold at the sale which has not been entered for the Southern Cross prior to the sale, can be made eligible for the Southern Cross at a discounted price of $275 (normally $660), subject to the relevant eligibility criteria. I would like to wish all of the breeders, vendors and buyers the best of luck at the 2017 Yearling Sales. SA BOTRA Presidents message SA BOTRA is pleased to present the third edition of the SA BOTRA Yearling Sale.
