The Ashanti tribe of the Man people is the largest tribe in Ghana; it is a matrilineal society. A description of the precolonial matriarchal tradition among the Ashanti people of Ghana, an analysis of how the matriarchal concept has evolved in more contemporary governments and political situations in Ghana, and an analysis of the status of women in modern Ghana may provide some insight into the impact of the queenmothership concept.

The two luchadors started the bout with a contest of speeds that saw Mascara edging Diego with experience and an advantage. Mascara took control immediately and started laying into Diego with slaps and chops. Mascara threw Diego to the ropes and ran in with a knee to the stomach that stunned Diego. Mascara took advantage of his momentum and brought Diego down with a single leg takedown and when Diego sat upright, Mascara is already on his feet and kicks him square in his chest to lay him back down. Mascara follows up with a standing moonsault into a pin and the Japanese audience erupts into applause. 1… 2... Kick out. Mascara drags Diego to his feet and starts to hit Diego with a barrage of slaps and chops to the chest. Diego counters a slap with one of his own and starts adding low kicks to the lower thigh of Mascara. Diego unleashes a combination of kicks to the thigh with a spinning backfist that draws an “Ahhhhww” reaction from the Japanese crowd while throwing off the ropes. The two meet, per say in the ring with Diego attempting a baseball slide and Mascara effortlessly front flipping over him. The Japanese audience reacts with applause as the two stare and give approving nods of respect to one another.

Though not exclusively Christian, the graphic novel, The Beast Within, will educate its target audience by using attractive illustrations, relatable issues, and understandable morals in a fictional, biblically inspired story. This thesis will include character designs, artwork, chapter summaries, and a single chapter of a self-written, self- illustrated graphic novel along with a short summary of Christian references and symbols. The novel will follow six half-human, half-animal warriors on their adventure to restore the balance of their world, which has been disrupted by a powerful enemy. Many believers almost immediately equate evangelism to Sunday morning services, church mission trips, or distribution of witty, ever-popular salvation tracts; however, Jesus utilized other methods to teach His people, such as telling simple stories and using familiar images and illustrations.

Despite their popularity because of their production in the local language, Akan Twi, these movies aberrate Ghanaian cultures, especially the arts, customs, lifestyles, background, and habits that characterize the traditional Akan society, which the movies largely portray. Based on qualitative research approach, six Kumawood movies were selected for critical review. The study sought to ascertain how Kumawood movies presented the cultural values of the people. The results indicated that Kumawood movies showcased diverse Akan cultural elements such as proverbs used for ensuring positive moral conducts, welfare, and acquisition of wisdom; rich traditional body adornments; Akan traditional festivals, folksongs, drumming and dancing, games; as well as sense of communal welfare, hospitality and traditional courtesies.

THE BEAST AND THE REVIVAL OF ROME: MUSSOLINI AND ROME IN THE PREMILLENNIAL IMAGINATION JON STAMM 130 Pages Premillennial dispensationalism became immensely influential among American Protestants who saw themselves as defenders of orthodoxy. As theological conflict heated up in the early 20th century, dispensationalism’s unique eschatology became one of the characteristic features of the various strands of “fundamentalists” who fought against modernism and the perceived compromises of mainline Protestantism. Their embrace of the dispensationalist view of history and Biblical prophecy had a significant effect on how they interpreted world events and how they lived out their faith. These fundamentalists established patterns of interpretation that in the second half of the 20th century would fuel the emergence of a politically influential form of Christian Zionism.

    PRIVILEGED ATTORNEY-CLIENT COMMUNICATION EXECUTIVE SUMMARY SECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED LICENSE AGREEMENT (“SPIDER-MAN”) CREATIVE ISSUES This memo summarizes certain terms of the Second Amended and Restated License Agreement (“Spider-Man”) between SPE and Marvel, effective September 15, 2011 (the “Agreement”). 1. CHARACTERS AND OTHER CREATIVE ELEMENTS: a. Exclusive to SPE: . The “Spider-Man” character, “Peter Parker” and essentially all existing and future alternate versions, iterations, and alter egos of the “Spider- Man” character. All fictional characters, places structures, businesses, groups, or other entities or elements (collectively, “Creative Elements”) that are listed on the attached Schedule 6. All existing (as of 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that are “Primarily Associated With” Spider-Man but were “Inadvertently Omitted” from Schedule 6. The Agreement contains detailed definitions of these terms, but they basically conform to common-sense meanings. If SPE and Marvel cannot agree as to whether a character or other creative element is Primarily Associated With Spider-Man and/or were Inadvertently Omitted, the matter will be determined by expedited arbitration. All newly created (after 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that first appear in a work that is titled or branded with “Spider-Man” or in which “Spider-Man” is the main protagonist (but not including any team- up work featuring both Spider-Man and another major Marvel character that isn’t part of the Spider-Man Property). The origin story, secret identities, alter egos, powers, costumes, equipment, and other elements of, or associated with, Spider-Man and the other Creative Elements covered above. The story lines of individual Marvel comic books and other works in which Spider-Man or other characters granted to SPE appear, subject to Marvel confirming ownership.
