All the as-yet-unidentified perpetrator was able to make off with was a sizable donation jug which previously sat on the organization’s front desk. “There couldn’t have been more than 20 or 25 dollars in there,” said Dayle Reed, Food Bank manager. “When peo- ple come through here they put in a dol- lar or two. I clean it out every other month.” After Gosset Alarm Company noti- fied Ukiah Police officers, Food Bank employee Bonnie McCutcheon made her way over to the building. “I arrived at around the same time the cops did,” she said. “They had their guns out and they went through the building. I walked to the back of the parking lot and then they came back out and we did a walkthrough of the building.” After inspecting the pantry’s stocks and offices, it was determined nothing was missing except the donation jar.

Nichting (9th round- Baltimore) completed the top-10 selections. Zach Jarrett became the fourth selection going in the 28th round to Baltimore. Her scholarly interests center on colonial Latin-American literature from New Spain, specifically the 17th century. Using the case of the Spanish colonies, she explores the birth of national identities in hybrid cultures. Another scholarly interest is the genre of Latin American colonialist narratives by modern-day female authors who situate their plots in the colonial period. In 2013, she published Llámenme «el mexicano»: Los almanaques y otras obras de Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora (Peter Lang,). She also has published short stories.
