Duchess Kate’s Nose, Jennifer Lopez’s Brows Make Up ‘World’s Most Desirable Face’ August 31, 2016 @ 10:53 AM A royal request! Duchess Kate’s “mathematically perfect” nose is what women want the most, according to London plastic surgeon Julian De Silva. The doctor, who works at the Center for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, surveyed 1,000 patients to see which stars are mentioned the most when it comes to reconstruction. After getting their feedback he created a composite image of the “world’s most desirable face” that includes Jennifer Lopez’s eyebrows, Angelina Jolie’s cheeks and Cher’s jawline. Women desire Keira Knightley’s eyes, Penélope Cruz’s lips, Miley Cyrus’ forehead, Reese Witherspoon’s skin and Selena Gomez’s chin as well. De Silva noted that the process usually begins with a picture. “You will often have a consultation with a patient who will present you with a picture of a well-known person and will say: ‘I want to look like that,’” he told the Daily Mail. “Thankfully, a lot of the time, it works very naturally to replicate a nose like the Duchess of Cambridge’s or eyelids similar to Keira Knightley’s. But on other occasions we do have to amend the plans because there are limits to how far you can improve what nature has given you.” De Silva’s newest revelation follows another one of his finds from earlier this summer. After enlisting his team to create software that calculates face shapes, the findings revealed that Amber Heard has the most beautiful face in the world. Her “eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and 12 key marker points were analyzed and found to be 91.85 percent of the Greek ratio of phi, which is 1.618,” the July 2016 study read, referencing the golden ratio..

In 2013, in the UK in particular, there has been unprecedented publicity in hereditary breast cancer, with Angelina Jolie’s decision to have genetic testing for the BRCA1 gene and subsequently undergo risk reducing mastectomy (RRM), and a pre-release of the NICE guidelines on familial breast cancer in January and their final release on 26th June. The release of NICE guidelines created a lot of publicity over the potential for use of chemoprevention using tamoxifen or raloxifene. However, the longest lasting news story was the release of details of film actress Angelina Jolie’s genetic test and surgery. Methods: To assess the potential effects of the ‘Angelina Jolie’ effect, referral data specific to breast cancer family history was obtained from around the UK for the years 2012 and 2013. A consortium of over 30 breast cancer family history clinics that have contributed to two research studies on early breast surveillance were asked to participate as well as 10 genetics centres.

#TimesUp for Sexual Harassment By News Correspondents Syna and Naila Celebrities worldwide have been supporting the #TimesUp campaign. #TimesUp is a campaign founded on the 1st of January 2018, by a small group of Hollywood celebrities. It is a movement fighting sexual harassment in the workplace. #TimesUp started in response to the #MeToo campaign that came from the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment epidemic. However, it was also brought up by a letter published in the Times in November 2017 from the Alianza Nacional de Campesinas. The letter claimed of their experience of sexual harassment among female farmworkers. It is said to have been written on behalf of 700,000 of them in the US. Harvey Weinstein, 65, has been accused of sexual harassment in the industry. According to the BBC more than 50 women have accused Weinstein ranging from rape to sexual harassment. Some of these women are: Lupita Nyong’o and Cara Delevingne, who both claimed that Weinstein made them feel uncomfortable. Despite all of the allegations Harvey Weinstein still continues to deny any of the actions. People have been standing up to this in many different ways. Celebrities have been doing this in award shows and events and the public, through protesting. In the Oscars, Golden Globes and the BAFTAs, actors and actresses have been wearing black in support of the victims of sexual harassment. In addition, vocal artists supported the cause at The Brit Awards and The Grammys by carrying a white rose. Mariah Carey, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and former tennis player Billie Jean King Dua Lipa showing her support by arrive in black at the 75th Annual holding a white rose at the Brit Awards Golden Globe Awards 2018.

Before her hiatus, she had a string of flop movies, a single that didn’t crack the Billboard Top 10, and an American Music Award downshift from favorite pop/rock female artist in 2003 to the more niche favorite Latin artist in 2007. Oh, and her record label just dropped her. Holding Allies Accountable Abstract Artists, including Rihanna, Cardi B, and Jay-Z, have turned down the NFL’s offer to perform in the halftime show out of solidarity with Colin Kaepernick , but it was recently announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be performing in 2020. This has sparked controversy because some are celebrating that there are two Latinas headlining the Super Bowl halftime show for the first time while others do not view this event as a cause for celebration because they believe that J. Lo and Shakira should have boycotted like other artists have. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira have given no prior indications that they stand with Colin Kaepernick, so there should not have been an expectation from them to reject the NFL’s offer.
