May 2013 – Dec 2013 Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, Sweden Intern at the GLEAN Project . GLEAN is a unique transdisciplinary research project involving a global analysis of learning, participation and ecosystem management in UNESCO biosphere reserves. . My main role in the GLEAN project was to conduct and manage a case study in Australia alongside my thesis fieldwork. Other tasks included revising interview guides, workshop preparation and report writing.
Apr 1999 – Sep 2012 North Sailing Ltd, Húsavík, Iceland Wildlife guide . Over a thirteen-year period (most summers) I worked as a guide on North Sailing’s whale- and bird watching tours. Reception, sales and website . Alongside guiding, worked with various tasks such as sales and administrative tasks at the companies ticket office/reception, creation and editing of marketing material for website and brochures.
Jan 2011 – Mar 2011 The Gardarsholm Project, Reykjavík, Iceland Intern . Gardarsholm is a work-in-progress project of a centre of excellence developing a learning-laboratory enhancing sustainable development. My tasks included administrative tasks such as writing a EU fund application (IPA), taking minutes and organising travels. 1
