If you are using our service for the first time or have not recently read the Kids’ Zone - ‘All You Need to Know’ information package, please ensure you obtain a copy (updated June 2019). If you have not completed a yellow/purple enrolment form or your details have recently changed, you will need to update your enrolmentform prior to the commencementof Vacation Care. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS Once the programmeis full, children will be placed on a waiting list. Waitinglists will be managedaccording to the suggested governmentguidelines for priority of access. Bookingswill only be accepted once the booking form has beenreceived with appropriate consents signed and the deposit paid. Booking forms can be handedin at the Kids’ Zone desk or scanned and emailed to us. Our Vacation Care booking deadline is two weeks before the end of term, whichis Friday 27° November 2020 for this Vacation Care period. Casual workers are encouraged to book any care they may need before the booking deadline and cancel any care not required by 6:15pm of the weekprior to avoid charges. If a child is booked after the booking deadline, a Late Booking Fee of $5.00 per child applies. lf a child arrives without being bookedin, a No Booking Fee of $10.00 applies(if a placeis available). If a child is picked up after 6:15pm, a Late Pick-Up Feewill be charged at $15.00 per family for every 15 minutesor part thereof. CANCELLATIONS All cancellations must be madein writing before 6:15pm the Friday prior to the week of care to avoid charges. EXCURSIONS All children mustbe at the centre at least 30 minutes before departuretimein order to havea briefing of the rules and responsibilities, collect their wrist bands and ensurethat they haveall the necessary equipment for a safe and enjoyable excursion. If your child/ren arrive after this process has commenced, they will be unable to join the excursion for safety reasons. Whenweareoffering a choice of two different excursions on the samedayplease ensurethat your children discuss with you and their friendship group which one they will be attending. Dueto staff to child ratios and venue bookings weare unable to allow them to swapata later date. In the case of younger/older excursions, please be aware that it may be necessary for staff to swap children from one group to the other due to numbercaps.If this occurs, you will be notified before the excursion date. Please note spending moneyis not permitted. Someexcursions may needto be cancelled due to the heat or wet weather. If this happens,a decision will be made by 6:15pm the day before (when possible). Excursions are transported by Ezyway Minibus, Access Cabs & Kanga Coachlines. Risk assessments have been conductedforall venues. Information is available upon request. SIGNING IN & OUT It is a legal requirementthat your child/ren are escorted into Kids’ Zone, signedin electronically on the iPad uponarrival and signed out upon departure. This must be donefor safety reasons and subsidy purposes. Please also makesureto let a staff member know when you have droppedoff or are picking up yourchild/ren as per ourcentre policy. If you are sending someoneelse to collect your child/ren please make sure you inform Kids’ Zonestaff about the arrangements. Pleasenote thatif your child/renis being collected by somebodythat you haveallocated as a collection authority and they have not collected your child/ren before or have only collected them a few times, it is a requirementthat they bring photo identification so that we can ensurethis is the person you haveallocated.
FOOD & DRINK Please ensure you have provided your children with a nutritious recess and lunch every day. Please be aware weare unable to heat up food. Please put an ice pack in your child’s lunchbox if needed as we are unable to store lunchboxesin the fridge. We encourage youto reduce waste by providing food in containers rather than packaging. Breakfastis provided between 7:15am — 8:15am. Afternoonteawill be provided at approximately 3:00pm — 4:00pm, howeverourroutine is flexible based on the children’s needs.

Friday 22" of January wewill be providing a ‘Special Pizza Lunch’ whichincludes pizza from Domino’s, garlic bread and juice boxes. SUN SAFE POLICY - “SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, SEEK & SLIDE!” WhenUVlevels reach 3 and above, sun protection is required in order to play outside and attend excursions as per the centre policy. This includes an approved hat, sunscreen and sunsafe clothing including t-shirts covering shoulders. Approved hats include legionnaire, broad brimmed and bucket hats (no caps). Hats can be keptin children’s bags orin an individually labelled plastic bag in the Kids’ Zone hat rack. Children must wear sunscreen throughout the day whenrequired.If yourchild/ren has a sunscreenallergy please discusssun safe strategies with us or provide an appropriate sunscreenfor them to use.
WHEELS DAY On ‘Wheels Day’ children are able to bring bikes or scooters from home. A helmet is the minimum safety equipment required, however knee/wrist/elbow padsetc.are also strongly encouraged. Children are not permitted to use each other’s equipment unlessthey are from the same family.
