New Show to be Filmed in LaGrange, Extras Needed

LaGrange, Ga. October 18, 2017 – A new Netflix series called “The Haunting of Hill House” will begin filming in LaGrange next week and they are looking for extras. The series will be based on the Shirley Jackson horror novel, “The Haunting of Hill House” and according to IMBd, one of the main actors is Timothy Hutton. Mike Flanagan, known for his work in the horror genre, is the writer-director.

Much of the planned 10-episode series will be filmed in LaGrange in the next 6 months.

According to casting representatives they are looking for several extras to be a part of the film. They are casting for construction workers for three days (10/25-10/27), funeral guests for one day (10/24), and funeral guests with cars from 1980-1992 (10/24).

They are also looking for a feature role for an aunt.

The Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office launched the Camera Ready Communities program in 2010 to train and certify Georgia counties to work effectively with production companies and provide local, one-on-one assistance in every aspect of production, from location scouting and film permits to traffic control, catering and lodging. Troup County is a Camera Ready community and is always happy to partner the entertainment industry on movie and TV projects.
