Dear Colleagues, Parents and Friends, Fu Yuan Kindergarten, a community-based kindergarten who has implemented inclusive education for Early Years’ children for the past ten years, is honour to be the host of this Conference. The Conference in (2017) attracted 418 participants from all over and nearby countries. Children with special needs surround us daily; everyone ought to accept them with open hearts, be it in the school or the society. While accompanying them and their families, we aim to provide them with quality early education. With proper assistance and support, the children can achieve in many ways, like their peers without special needs. However, much more has yet to be done. This conference will be held by the side of the mighty 563-km-long Rajang River (the longest river in Malaysia) in Central , the Borneo part of Malaysia. We aim to attract 500 participants or more from all over Malaysia, as well as internationally. We gather to discuss issues about inclusive education in early years and find ways to implement them successfully. More than 40 international and Malaysian speakers have been identified, to provide participants with a range of topics divided into plenary, dialogue, concurrent workshops and interactive sessions. Visiting to a traditional long house and local tourist attractions (optional) have also been prepared. You will also enjoy the variety of cuisines available including Iban, Malay, Chinese and other native Sarawak cultures.

Sibu is rich with culture and a variety of local delicacies to enjoy. The population is dominated by the Chinese especially the Foochow, as well as indigenous Iban, Melanau and Malay. Besides long houses, other interesting landmarks in Sibu are Borneo’s second tallest building, Wisma Sanyan, and Malaysian’s largest wet market. A few well-established museums in the town have displays of Sibu's history, including Melanau, Iban, Malay, and Chinese artefacts, as well as Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum, which is the first and only medical museum in Malaysia. The latter exhibits medical equipment and uniforms used by medical staff at Lau King Howe Hospital, one of the oldest hospitals in Sarawak built in 1930’s. Jade Dragon Temple located 26 km out of Sibu town is the largest temple in South East Asia. The Borneo Cultural Festival will be held between 18th and 27th July 2019. Sibu also host International Dance Festival and International B.A.S.E Jump from Wisma Sanyan annually. We are looking forward to welcoming you in July 2019.
