Extended School Day FALL SPORTS AWARDS Opportunities Again Being Offered At Edison H.S. and Cohen M.S.

For the fourth straight year, the Elmira Heights Central School District and the Elmira School District have partnered with and the Greater (GST) Boces Career Development Council (CDC) to implement the Achieve • Prepare • EXplore (APEX) Project.

In year 3, this extended school day program enrolled over 110 Heights students in grades 7, 8, and 9 with 65 of those VOLLEYBALL FOOTBALL CROSS COUNTRY students achieved 15+ hours of programming. The mission of the APEX Project is to support the positive academic and social growth of students, and foster aspirations for future college and career success for students attending in these IAC Divisional Meet districts. Spirit Week: Homecoming 2019 Voter Eligibility Spirit Week at TAE was another great success this year. 2020-2021 Heights Schools Planning for the Budget Preparation Future

The process of completing the applications, obtaining recommendation letters, completing Brag sheets, and applying for financial aid has kept them busy. College January 2020 8 Regular BOE Meeting Application Week began October 25th with the goal of all college bound seniors to apply to at least one school during the week. BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH Cohen Library Book Fair! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH Cohen Library Book Fair! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to December 6th - 13th (8:00 AM– 3:45 PM) detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. A lot of progress has been made but there is a long way to go. For the fourth straight year, the Elmira Heights Central School District and the Elmira City School District have partnered with Elmira College and the Greater Southern Tier (GST) Boces Career Development Council (CDC) to implement the Achieve • Prepare • EXplore (APEX) Project.
