Ballot Measures

SUPPORT Proposition 1: Would allow the City of Seattle to issue general obligation bonds to pay costs related to the design, construction, renovation, improvement and replacement of the Alaskan Way seawall and associated public infrastructure. SUPPORT Referendum 74: Would make marriage available to all otherwise eligible couples in Washington State, regardless of sexual orientation.

SUPPORT Initiative 502: Would legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana for adults 21 and over.

OPPOSE Initiative 1185: “minority-rule” measure that requires 2/3rds super-majority to repeal special interest tax breaks or raise taxes.

OPPOSE Initiative 1240: Legalizing taxpayer-funded private, for-profit charter schools, which would divert funds from public schools.
