2012 HIGHLIGHTS Team Notes *The Bulldogs started 8-0 for the first time since 2009 when they won their first 14 games. *The Bulldogs have won three straight Saturday games by one run including two walk-offs. *Georgia opened its season here by sweeping Presbyterian in a three-game set, outscoring them 22-5. *Georgia batted .293 as a team with a 1.50 ERA and a .987 Fielding Percentage in its first four games. *Georgia’s starting pitchers went 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA (4 ER in 20 IP) in the opening series. *13 Bulldogs saw their first collegiate action in the PC series.

Individual Highlights This Season *In the season-opening series, junior third baseman Curt Powell went 6-for-9 with two RBI and senior second baseman Levi Hyams went 5-for-10 with 4 RBI. *Redshirt sophomore LHP Alex Wood notched the win on Opening Day (6 IP, 5H, 1R, 0BB, 7K) as the Bulldogs registered a 6-1 decision over PC. *In game two of the PC series on Feb. 18, junior Brett DeLoach delivered a pinch-hit, two-out, two-run for a 5-4 walk-off victory. *Five Bulldog pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout against PC in the series finale.
