Boys Soccer Lataille, White made difference Mounties overachieved because of talented seniors By BRANDEN MELLO [email protected]

PROVIDENCE — This wasn’t sup- posed to be the year the Mount St. Charles boys soccer team won the program’s first Division II title since 2005. It was supposed to be last year. The Mounties earned the No. 2 seed in the Division II playoffs in 2014 and slipped past North Smithfield in the quarterfinals before West Warwick avenged a regular- season defeat with a 3-1 victory in the semi- finals. The defeat meant the graduation of five all-division players, including first-team standouts Colin Berg and Michael Doody and talented senior goalie Ben Weiss. See MOUNTIES, page B3
