With boundless energy and enthusiasm, Wacker and his staff built the Bulldogs into a small college power. In his time with the Bulldogs, Wacker coached Texas Lutheran to a 38- 16 mark and a record of 28-5 in his final three seasons in Seguin. Wacker holds the school record for best career winning percentage among football coaches (at .704). He shares, with volleyball coach Susan Duke, the Texas Lutheran mark for most national titles won, with two. The Bulldogs of the Wacker era set numerous school records for career, season and single-game feats. Today, 23 records from those Wacker squads still stand, including a school-record 17-game to 1982, his won-loss record was 88-18-01.
