Eildon Projects in the Public Vote LBF2/4/EIL- Energise Galashiels Trust & Galashiels Academy Parent Council Bid Vote to bring the spectacle of sound to Galashiels! We are fundraising to buy a new AV system which will be accessible for use by every club, charity and £13,500.00 not-for-profit organisation in Gala, including Gala Academy, to enhance their events. LBF2/5/EIL- WorksPlus Bid Based in Galashiels, it aims to deliver an all age, employability skills, weekly drop in, to help with moving from unemployment to employment. The drop £5,994.00 in, will be able to help with confidence, CVs, job search, applications and interview skills. LBF2/19/EIL- Selkirk & District Community Council Bid The fountain located in the grounds of the Victoria Hall has been neglected over recent years, the metalwork is rusting and the paintwork is in a £1,644.30 deplorable state. Work must be carried out urgently to halt the deterioration of this Selkirk landmark. LBF2/26/EIL- Heriot Primary School Parent Council Bid Please help us transform our ground into a multi-sports facility for school pupils, local groups and the community to use. It would mean the world to £12,539.50 obtain a space in our community for recreation as it is a 15 mile round trip to anything similar. LBF2/41/EIL- Newtown & Eildon Community Council Bid To have wider locations for our festive lights to use for years to come. We want this big event in our community calendar to attract local families and £6,151.54 help them be part of our shared future. LBF2/48/EIL- Lauderdale Scout Group Bid Lauderdale Scout Hall, please support our bid to replace the roof in the old, but much loved community building, in the heart of Lauder. Our hall is £10,000.00 available for all members of the community to use via www.lauderdalescoutgroup.org LBF2/49/EIL- Interest Link Borders Bid Our befriending groups will give 35 children and adults with learning disabilities a great chance to have fun, make friends and improve social skills £6,129.00 & confidence. 35 local volunteers’ lives will be enriched and carers will have welcome respite. LBF2/65/EIL- Stable Life Bid This bid is to help with the essential rebuild of our Indoor Riding School ensuring continuation of our services that benefit disadvantaged young £15,000.00 people experiencing personal challenges, their families and their communities in the Scottish Borders. LBF2/66/EIL- Selkirk Regeneration Company Bid The Old Fish Shop in Selkirk, derelict for 22 years, is now in community ownership and could become a pop-up shop, meeting or exhibition space, or £15,000.00 energy advice centre for the community. We have raised £61K and need £15K more to complete the job. LBF2/69/EIL- Borders Street Pastors Bid Street Pastors are out at night time in Borders towns from 11pm – 3.30am to Listen, Care & Help those in need. Teams are in Galashiels every Saturday £405.00 night and once a month in Hawick. 3 mobile phones will help our team leaders deliver the service. LBF2/70/EIL- Selkirk Silver Band Bid The rehearsal hall, essential for players of all ages and abilities, is in need of sound proofing and the outside walls repointing. Then this celebrated Band £7,740.99 can continue to perform and compete. LBF2/72/EIL- Galashiels Community Council Bid Vote to bring a magical Christmas to Galashiels with a spectacular festive event, decorated with fabulous illuminations. Visit the market stalls, enjoy the £15,000.00 exciting entertainment and meet our celebrity guests for the big Christmas lights ‘switch on’. LBF2/73/EIL- Eildon West Youth Hub Bid TD1 Active is about empowering young people aged 11-17 year old to take a full and active part in making decisions and organising activities for their £8,936.00 peers. During school holiday periods TD1 Youth Hub will support young people to run free activities. LBF2/88/EIL- Selkirk Community Football Club Bid We hope to kick start the newly formed Selkirk Community Football Club, funding the completion of essential club house renovation works which are £13,500.00 required in order to maintain and expand on current football activities. LBF2/89/EIL- Knowepark Parent Partnership Bid Selkirk Coding Club aims to deliver a fun and engaging computer coding program to primary school children and local community groups. The bid will £3,231.00 allow the purchase of essential hardware to equip the club. LBF2/92/EIL- Beyond Earlston Bid The youth group leads this bid to support and equip the Community Garden Hub located in the grounds of the High School. We will be working with all £10,515.00 ages to enhance our village, support outdoor learning activities to grow the gardeners of the future. LBF2/94/EIL- Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Bid This is to re-establish the Scottish Country Dancing Festival. From primary to secondary, it would give young people the chance to learn and enjoy dance, £1,872.00 connect with people of all ages and backgrounds, and better their mental and physical health. LBF2/96/EIL- Glendinning Terrace Primary Parent Teacher Council Bid Glendinning Play for All will provide much needed playground equipment within the Glendinning community. LBF2/98/EIL- Borders Youth Theatre Bid This bid is to part fund a drama project based at Langlee followed by a 4-show tour for the local community. We offer 2 weeks fun and active learning for £4,096.00 children from diverse backgrounds with bursaries for those with social and health challenges. LBF2/102/EIL- Rowland’s Selkirk Bid Selkirk Community Fireworks, hoping to make this an annual event for young people of Selkirk and district, available to everyone without distinction. Withdrawn Contributing to community events encourages young people to become engaged citizens of the future. LBF2/103/EIL- Incorporation of Hammermen Bid The Hammerman’s Hall is a building of huge historical significance. We want to regenerate it to become a Meeting Room/Museum for all community £15,000.00 groups to use with local history on display. .
