MIAMI, FL., May 28, 2021 – The Upper East Siders are back! HBO Max announced today that the GOSSIP GIRL reboot, a Max Original, will on July 8, exclusively on the platform. Do not miss out on a first-look teaser, here! The series is based on the bestselling novels by and the original show, developed by & , which ran from 2007-2012. Eight years after the original website went dark, Gossip Girl has reemerged to target the new generation of private school teens at Constance Billard, once again bringing to light their scandals, angst and gossip. Under the watchful eye of a new Gossip Girl, and told from a different perspective, the series will address current issues and how much social media has changed in recent years.The new series includes performances by Whitney Peak, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Jordan Alexander, Thomas Doherty, Eli Brown, Zión Moreno, Savannah Smith and Tavi Gevinson. GOSSIP GIRL is narrated by the original voice, Kristen Bell.

GOSSIP GIRL is produced by Fake Empire and in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios. The series is written, executive produced and developed by Joshua Safran of Random Acts. Executive producers also include Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire, and and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment. Lis Rowinski of Fake Empire serves as co-executive producer.
