Enjoy your full day in nice at leisure. Overnight at the Hipark Residences. Day 2 | March 31, 2017 | NICE — LYON (B, D) After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Lyon to board your cruise. Boarding begins at 4 p.m. at Claude Bernard’s quay. The ship departs at 5 p.m. and we will be sailing in a southerly direction. This evening enjoy a presentation of the crew and a welcome cocktail followed by dinner and an evening of entertainment. Day 3 | April 1, 2017 | ARLES (B, L, D) Breakfast on board. Morning cruising through the landscapes of the south of France through Valence, overlooked by Saint Apollinaire cathedral, Montélimar famous for its nougat. We will pass through the great lock in Bollène which, has a variation in height of 20 meters and was one of the major civil engineering project of the 1950’s. Lunch on board. Stop in Arles around 2 p.m. and depart by coach for the excursion to the Camargue. Day 4 | April 2, 2017 | AVIGNON (B, L, D) Arrival in Avignon after breakfast. The Palace was once home to a sumptuous court where artists and scholars rubbed shoulders with each other. Back on board. The ship departs at noon for Roquemaure. Lunch on board. Departure for the excursion by coach to visit the Ardèche gorges and to discover the Pont d’Arc Cavern, a replica of Chauvet Cave. Back on board in Saint-Etienne-des-Sorts. The ship departs for Viviers. Dinner on board. Overnight stopover. Day 5 | April 3, 2017 | VIVIERS — TAIN L’HERMITAGE (B, L, D) The ship departs early in the morning for Viviers. Breakfast onboard. Morning cruising towards La Voulte. Lunch onboard. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion in the Vercors. THE VERCORS PLATEAU: Depart by coach toward Die where you will get the chance to visit a wine cellar and taste the famous Clairette de Die. Then, follow the road of the Rousset mountain pass, from where you will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the Vercors Plateau. On toward Vassieux en Vercors, la Chapelle en Vercors and Pont en Royans, famous for its suspension houses. Back on board in Tain l’Hermitage. Dinner and gala evening on board.
