The adverts feature Ada Hegerberg, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Cristiano Ronaldo and amateur players and will run throughout the season to promote inclusion, diversity and accessibility in European Football with the motto "Everyone has the right to enjoy football, no matter who you are, where you're from, or how you play." More information on the campaign and on the advertisements can be found in the accompanying media release and on the campaign website: www.equalgame.com. Vitesse have been going through a barren spell in Europe, but will hope that the goals – and UEFA Europa League Group K points – start flowing as Lazio return to the Netherlands. Previous meetings • The teams are meeting for the first time in UEFA competiton. • Vitesse's record in four matches with Italian sides is W1 D2 L1 (W1 D1 in Arnhem). • Lazio's four previous games against Dutch opponents ended W1 D1 L2 (D1 L1 in the Netherlands). Form guide • Vitesse are without a win in six European fixtures (D1 L5 – including three straight home defeats), scoring just twice during that run. • Lazio are unbeaten in five European away matches – a victory and four 1-1 draws. • Fifth in the Netherlands last term, Arnhem-based Vitesse are featuring in the group stage of a UEFA competition for the first time having won the Dutch Cup, their maiden major trophy. • Beaten UEFA Cup finalists in 1998 (and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup winners the following year), Lazio are back in the UEFA Europa League after a one-season absence, having reached the last 16 in 2015/16. Links and trivia • The journey from Rome to Arnhem is around 1,200km. • Vitesse strikers Tim Matavž (Genoa, 2016) and Luc Castaignos (Internazionale, 2011–12) both played in Italy, but neither figured against Lazio. • Lazio have Dutch talent in the form of defender Stefan de Vrij, who played in the senior ranks for Feyenoord (2009– 14). The coaches • Vitesse coach since 2016, leading them to their historic Dutch Cup triumph last season, Surinam-born Henk Fraser was capped seven times by the Netherlands as a defender, spending the bulk of his playing career at Feyenoord, where he was later a youth coach. He took his first senior job at Den Haag from 2014–16. • Lazio boss since 2016, Simone Inzaghi represented the club as a forward from 1999–2010, and stayed on to coach the club's youth teams. He is the younger brother of fellow ex-Italian international Filippo Inzaghi, the pair initially playing together at home-town club Piacenza. 3 Vitesse - SS Lazio Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit GelreDome, Arnhem Team facts SBV Vitesse Formed: 1892 Nickname: Vitas UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • None Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) Dutch Cup: 1 (2017) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2015/16: third qualifying round 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2013/14: third qualifying round 2012/13: third qualifying round 2011/12: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2009/10: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA club competition 2007/08: did not take part in UEFA club competition Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 3-0 three times, most recently v Maccabi Haifa 14/09/00, UEFA Cup first round first leg • Biggest away win 0-4: Dundee United v Vitesse 07/11/90, UEFA Cup second round second leg • Heaviest home defeat 0-2 three times, most recently v Southampton 06/08/15, third qualifying round second leg • Heaviest away defeat 4-1: Lens v Vitesse 28/10/99, UEFA Cup second round first leg 3-0 twice, most recently v Southampton 30/07/15, UEFA Europa League third qualifying round first leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 3-0 three times, most recently v Maccabi Haifa (see above) • Biggest away win 0-4: Dundee United v Vitesse (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-2 three times, most recently v Southampton (see above) • Heaviest away defeat 4-1: Lens v Vitesse (see above) 3-0 twice, most recently v Southampton (see above) SS Lazio Formed: 1900 Nickname: Biancocelesti (White and Sky Blues) UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets) • UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1): 1999 • UEFA Cup: (1998) • UEFA Super Cup (1): 1999 Domestic honours (most recent triumph in brackets) 4 Vitesse - SS Lazio Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit GelreDome, Arnhem League title: 2 (2000) Italian Cup: 6 (2013) Ten-year European record (UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup unless indicated otherwise) 2016/17: did not take part in UEFA competition 2015/16: round of 16 2014/15: did not take part in UEFA competition 2013/14: round of 32 2012/13: quarter-finals 2011/12: round of 32 2010/11: did not take part in UEFA competition 2009/10: group stage 2008/09: did not take part in UEFA competition 2007/08: UEFA Champions League group stage Records UEFA club competition • Biggest home win 6-0: Lazio v Rabotnicki 18/08/11, UEFA Europa League play-off first leg • Biggest away win 0-4 on four occasions, most recently v Levski Sofia 01/10/09, UEFA Europa League group stage • Heaviest home defeat 0-4: Lazio v Chelsea 04/11/03, UEFA Champions League group stage • Heaviest away defeat 6-0: Lens v Lazio 02/11/77, UEFA Cup second round second leg UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup • Biggest home win 6-0: Lazio v Rabotnicki (see above) • Biggest away win 0-4 twice, most recently v Levski Sofia (see above) • Heaviest home defeat 0-3: Lazio v Sparta Praha 17/03/16, round of 16 second leg 0-3: Lazio v Barcelona 22/10/75, second round first leg • Heaviest away defeat 6-0: Lens v Lazio (see above) 5 Vitesse - SS Lazio Thursday 14 September 2017 - 21.05CET (21.05 local time) Match press kit GelreDome, Arnhem Squad list Vitesse Current season All-time UEL League UEL UEFA No. Player Nat.
