The Port Albert Progress Association has formally received word from the Wellington Shire, that the Port 16th St John’s Service Albert’s inclusion to the C33 Amendment to the Wellington 17th Port Albert Hall Meeting Planning Scheme has been abandoned. The Wellington Shire 7pm @ PA Hall advised “the Minister for Planning changed the proposed 18th Port Albert Progress amendment, adopted by Council 2011, by not applying flood Meeting,7pm @ PA CFA controls to the urban areas in Port Albert. The urban areas 23rd Port Albert Racecourse include all land in Residential 1 Zone (R1Z), Commercial 1 Zone Working Bee @ 10am (C1Z/B1Z) and Commercial 2 Zone (C2Z/B4Z).” Notice of the approved amendment was published on 16 January 2014, in the 26th Port Albert Racecourse Meeting, 7.30pm @ Port Victorian Government Gazette. This is good news for the Albert Hall residents of Port Albert and the future residents of the town. In conjunction with this, the Wellington Shire moved to adopt new 27th Coffee Morning @ Port Albert Cafe @ 10.30am State Planning regulations in December 2013, to reduce the minimum floor heights for new dwellings in the Port to 0.2 meters as opposed to the 2.98-meter requirement under the C33 Walking Group meet every Monday 2pm & Thursday 10am Amendment provisions. It is now hoped that with the outside Port Albert Cafe undertaking of the ‘Port Albert Rural Lifestyle Lots Review,’ Port Albert can move forward into the future with much anticipation. -

An acknowledgement of its receipt is not necessary. Every person whose duty requires them to have a copy is held responsible for obtaining one of each issue, and for communicating to their staff any instructions applicable to them. If not received at the usual time or in doubt as to your obligations, contact your Supervisor. TEMPORARY REDUCTIONS OF SPEED OF TRAINS Notice to Drivers, Second Persons, Track Force Protection Coordinators and others. (a) (i) Repairs and renewals are being effected at the following places and, until further notice, the speed of trains must, if required, be reduced as shown. Each location will be protected when necessary, either by hand signals, or by special permanent way signals. Train Crews must keep a good look-out at these locations for such signals, which must be exhibited in accordance with these rules. (ii) In the absence of such signals, trains may be run at the ordinary rate of speed. (b) Drivers are reminded that repairs of lines necessitating reductions of speed, of which it has not been able to give notice, may be necessary at other places beside those mentioned in this notice. They must, therefore, be always on the lookout and be prepared to stop or to run at reduced speed whenever and wherever hand signal are exhibited. (c) Work Group Supervisors and others in charge of works at the following places where the requirements render it necessary that the speed of train be reduced, must understand that this information does not in any way relieve them of the responsibility of seeing that Competent hand signallers, furnished with the necessary Hand Signals and Audible Track Warners are stationed at the places named for the purpose of signalling in accordance with these rules, or that the special way Warning and Caution signals are exhibited, as each case may require. -

Victorian Government Printer Road Safety Act 1986 ROAD SAFETY (VEHICLES) REGULATIONS 1999 Class 1 Notice as to Load Carrying Vehicles and Load Carrying Combinations and Notice as to Areas and Routes on which and Times at which Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles and Load Carrying Combinations may be used Regulation 105(2)(e) of the Road Safety (Vehicles) Regulations 1999 provides that for the purposes of those Regulations the Corporation may by notice published in the Government Gazette declare an area to be an urban area. Regulation 502 of those Regulations provides that the Corporation may by a notice published in the Government Gazette exempt a category of Class 1 vehicles from – (a) a mass or dimension limit, other than a limit that relates to a GVM or GCM or a manufacturer’s limit; or (b) from any other requirement – set out in Schedule 1 to the Regulations. Clause 7 of Schedule 1 to the Regulations provides that a Class 1 vehicle may only be used on a highway – (a) that is in an area or on a route; and (b) at the times – specified by the Corporation by notice published in the Government Gazette. In accordance with those provisions, I, Ted Vincent, delegate of the Corporation – (a) exempt a Class 1 vehicle carrying a large indivisible item and a Class 1 vehicle that is specially designed to carry a large indivisible item from the night travel restrictions and pilot vehicle requirement in Clause 21 of Schedule 1 to the Regulations; and (b) declare the areas, routes, times and conditions set out in Annexure 1 to this Notice for a Class 1 vehicle carrying a large indivisible item and a Class 1 vehicle that is specially designed to carry a large indivisible item, subject to Annexure 2 and 3. -
