Dickerson, who was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999, retired as the NFL’s second all-time leading rusher. His single-season mark of 2,105 yards in 1984 still stands today and the jersey and goggles he wore when setting that record can be seen on exhibit at the Hall. “The thing that made that record so special is that all of the players were involved in it. Every guy wanted a piece of that…That made me feel good and I think that’s what that record means to me,” Dickerson states in the documentary. Upcoming “A Football Life” episodes include profiles on several great NFL legends and Pro Football Hall of Famers. Screenings of “A Football Life” at the Hall of Fame are included with the price of admission.
