Supporting sound requires going somewhat be- yond Xamarin.Forms to make use of platform-specific sound-generation facilities. Figuring out how to make sounds in iOS, Android, and Windows Phone is hard enough. But how does a Xamarin.Forms program then make calls into the individual platforms? Before tackling the complexities of sound, let’s examine the different approaches to making plat- form-specific API calls with a much simpler example.
