• The Friars fi nished 2007-08 season with a 14-17-5 overall record, including an 11-11-5 mark in Hockey East. The Friars, who were picked to fi nish in eighth-place in the Hockey East preseason poll, fi nished in fi fth-place.

• The Friars were ranked as high as No. 11 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll on February 4.

• Of the Friars’ 14 wins, 10 were against ranked teams, including a 5-3 victory over No. 5 Michigan State on December 29 in the Great Lakes Invitational. The Friars also posted two wins at No. 9 Boston College marking the fi rst time since 1996 that PC posted two vic- tories at Kelley Rink.

• Eight Friars recorded career highs in points this season, led by junior defenseman Matt Taormina (Washington Township, Mich.) who tallied 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists).
