Relative to congratulating and commending Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon on his appointment as the new Pastor of San Isidro Parish, and to further extending Un Dangkolo Na Si Yu' OS Ma'ase to him for bestowing many blessings on the residents of Malojloj and the entire island of Guam.

3 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon was born on 4 November 7, 1971, to tApolinar C. Canon and Dr. Adelaida R. Canon; and

5 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon attended

6 elementary school at St. Mary's Academy in Pasay City, Philippines, from 7 1978 to 1981, and Villamor Air Base Elementary School in Pasay City, 8 Philippines, from 1981 to 1984; and

9 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon completed his 10 high school studies at St. Gregory the Great Seminary, Panal, Tabaco, in 11 Albay, Philippines, in 1988; and

12 WHEREAS, he graduated from San Carlos Seminary, Philosophy 13 Department, in 1995, and finished his graduate studies from San Carlos 14 Seminary, Graduate School of Theology in 2000; and

15 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon was ordained a 16 priest on September 29, 2001, at Manila Cathedral, Philippines; and

17 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon was assigned as 18 Parochial Vicar of Parishes, Archdiocese of Manila, from 2001 to 2003, and 19 from 2003 to 2008, he was the Parish Priest of St. John of the Cross Parish, 20 Pembo, Makati, in the Philippines; and

21 WHEREAS, Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon came to the 22 island of Guam on January 21, 2008, and was assigned to the Archdiocese of

2 1 Hagatfia as Vice Rector at the Dulce Nombre De Maria Cathedral- Basilica, 2 Hagatfia; and

3 WHEREAS, on July 1, 2009, the Most Reverend Anthony Sablan 4 Apuron, OFM Cap., D.D., Metropolitan Archbishop of Hagatfia, Guam, 5 appointed Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Caiion as the Parish Priest at 6 San Isidro Catholic Church, Malojloj, Guam; now, therefore, be it

7 RESOLVED, that the Committee on Rules of I Mina'Trenta Na 8 Liheslaturan Guahan does hereby, on behalf of I Liheslaturan Guahan and the 9 people of Guam, extend its sincerest congratulations and commendations to 10 Reverend Father Hector Ulysses R. Canon on being appointed the Parish 11 Priest at San Isidro Catholic Church, Malojloj, and does express Un Dangkolo 12 NaSi Yu'os Ma'ase to him for his continued work; and be it further

13 RESOLVED, that the Speaker and the Chairperson of the Committee on 14 Rules certify, and the Legislative Secretary attest to, the adoption hereof, and 15 that copies of the same be thereafter transmitted to Reverend Father Hector 16 Ulysses R. Canon; to the Most Rev. Anthony Sablan Apuron, OFM Cap., D.D., 17 Metropolitan Archbishop of Hagatfia, Guam; and to the Honorable Felix P. 18 Camacho, I Maga'lahen Guahan.
