FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DAUGHTER OF THE WOLF RECEIVES 3 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARD NOMINATIONS February 19, 2020 (Regina, SK) – The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced nominees for the annual Canadian Screen Awards, which will broadcast on CBC March 29th, 2020. The Minds Eye Entertainment/Falconer Pictures produced feature film Daughter of the Wolf received 3 nominations: • Best TV Movie • Best Direction, TV Movie: David Hackl • Best Supporting Actor, Drama: Brendan Fehr Daughter of the Wolf follows the story of ex-military commando Clair Hamilton (Gina Carano, “The Mandalorian”) returns home from her tour of duty to the recent news of her father’s passing, only to find herself at odds with her 13-yearold son Charlie (Anton Gillis- Adelman, “The Boys”). When word spreads about Clair’s large inheritance, Charlie is kidnapped and held for ransom by a local gang led by a mysterious figure known only as “Father” (Richard Dreyfuss, “Jaws”). Desperate to save her son, Clair captures Larsen (Brendan Fehr, “Better Call Saul”), a kidnapper turned hostage and forces him to lead her on a perilous journey deep into the mountains. The film is directed by David Hackl (Saw V) and written by Nika Agiashvili (Tbilisi, I Love You). Director of photography is Mark Dobrescu, CSC, production design by Kathy McCoy, edited by Jackie Dzuba, original music by Jeff Toyne, costume design by Brenda Shenher, casting by Deb Green, CDC, CSA. It is produced by Kevin DeWalt p.g.a. (Forsaken, The Tall Man) of Minds Eye Entertainment, Douglas Falconer p.g.a. (The Warrior’s Way, Forsaken) of Falconer Pictures, Danielle Masters (Forsaken, WolfCop) and Benjamin Dewalt p.g.a. (The Recall, The Humanity Bureau), in association with Petra Pictures, Invico Capital and The Fyzz. Principal photography of the Saskatchewan, British Columbia co-production took place in West Kelowna and various locations in the Okanagan Valley, employing crew from both provinces.
