Combined Surname Index to All Volumes of Einwanderung in das Wolgagebiet 1764-1767 by Igor Pleve Compiled by Brent Alan Mai Center for Volga German Studies Concordia University Portland, Oregon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This document is an index to the 4-volume set by Igor Pleve entitled Einwanderung in das Wolgagebiet, 1764-1767. Each surname has been indexed, followed by the given name for the head of the household, and then the name of the colony in which they are recorded. The first number of the index refers to the volume, followed by a colon, and then the page number within that volume. For purposes of alphabetization, the umlaut has been ignored. There are 17 colonies whose original settlers are not identified by colony. These 17 “missing” colonies are Biberstein, Beideck, Basel, Hockerberg, Hummel, Hussenbach, Kind, Luzern, Meinhard, Näb, Neu-Kolonie, Pobochnaya, Schilling, Schaffhausen, Wittmann, Zug, and Zürich. However, there are colonists recorded on the following pages without assignment to a colony. They have been indexed with the colony designation of “Extra”: v.1 – pp.162-175 v.3 – pp.205-226 v.1 – pp.194-214 v.3 – pp.352-376 v.2 – pp.264-274 v.4 – pp.349-380 v.2 – pp.323-332 Some of the surnames transcribed by Dr. Pleve are questionable, in his own admittance. When a correct surname is determined by other sources, this corrected surname has been included in the index. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Catalog of dating sources for zoological works. Third edition. Bishop Museum Technical Report 64: 1–260. CATALOG OF DATING SOURCES FOR ZOOLOGICAL WORKS Third Edition Neal L. Evenhuis Department of Natural Sciences, Bishop Museum, 1525 Bernice Street, Honolulu, Hawai‘i 96817; email: [email protected] INTRODUCTION As a part of the research efforts I have undertaken in obtaining dates of publication for natural history works, I have been collecting the references to these dating sources. These are found primarily as articles pertaining to the publication and dating of books and serial publications, but evidence for dating can also be found in large bibliographies and other books pertaining to bibliographical research, nomenclature, and taxonomy. In an effort to bring this information to a wide array of users, I have synthesized my notes and incorporated them into this working bibliography of sources of the dating of zoological works. The original compilation was published in 2008 as Bishop Museum Technical Report 47 and the second edition in October 2011 as Bishop Museum Technical Report 56. Since then, dating research has continued by myself and others, and additions and corrections have come to the author’s attention and have been incorporated here bringing this revised source list up-to-date and more accurate and complete.
