Universal Studios will hold a special event, One Piece Summer Adventure, for a limited period only from Friday July 4 to Sunday, September 7, 2014. This event is based on the theme of One Piece (written by ), a very popular and , whose total number of copies printed has exceeded 300 million, and with its first print run setting a new Japanese record.

One Piece Premier Show, a very popular live show that achieved an amazingly high guest satisfaction of 99.9%*1 and intention to repeat of 100%*2, will be performed again with a new Universal Studios Japan-original story that will be different from the show held in spring this year, bringing additional excitement to the Park in summer. Guests will be blown away with excitement, getting goose bumps, in the very realistically reproduced world of One Piece. In San Francisco Area in the Park, One Piece area will be renewed and reopened with “Islands of the New World,” where the Marine is stationed, as its theme. In the area, guests can immerse themselves in the world of One Piece to their hearts’ content by watching and participating new street show, enjoying eating at themed restaurants where they can meet Straw Hat Pirates, and other One Piece characters. Enjoy the excitement for this summer only with upgraded One Piece events at an even greater level compared to this spring.

 Trafalgar Law and Kid, two strong opponents in the New World, show up. The most powerful weapon, Gomu Gomu No Grizzly Magnum, blows them away! It was decided to hold the second round of One Piece Premier Show 2014 by performing the greatest number of sessions ever in response to the high popularity of the show.

This summer, One Piece Premier Show will be held with an original story where Monkey D. Luffy fights against powerful opponents in the New World. New faces who are important One Piece characters, including Eustass “Captain” Kid, will appear in the show in addition to the very popular character Trafalgar Law. Moreover, a shadowy figure, Fujitora, the admiral of the Marine, will show up in the greatest battle ever in the Park’s history. The various fighting skills of popular characters were realistically reproduced with overwhelmingly high quality, using projection mapping, pyrotechnics (fireworks for boosting the atmosphere of the show), special effects, and stunt acts. In the battle, Luffy’s weapon Gomu Gomu No Grizzly Magnum bursts away, and the opponents are blown away by Luffy’s fist. Moreover, in response to the enthusiastic request of One Piece fans, it was determined that the show period will be extended to the end of September, with the greatest number of show sessions ever. ◆ Get involved in a reckless battle in the One Piece world! Kids and parents have fun together to the fullest with a new street show, One Piece Water

Battle One Piece Water Battle, a participatory street show, will be held for the first time. Kids can even have fun with their parents in this new summer street show. Have great fun with your family or friends, getting soaked with the splashing of water. In this program, guests first participate in the Marine’s boot camp training at the One Piece area and then the show starts. During the training Luffy and Usopp, members of the Straw Hat Pirates, appear and get involved in a reckless yet fun water battle against the Marine. One Piece Water Battle will be held at One Piece Area within San Francisco Area every day during the event period.

 Two Very Popular One Piece-Themed Restaurants to Be Upgraded and Reopened This Summer! (1) Usopp and Brook appear the restaurant this summer! Let’s revel in the Feast with Straw Hat Pirates! Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant The highly popular Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant also reopens at Discovery Restaurant in the Jurassic Park Area. This summer, in addition to Usopp, Brook will appear at this restaurant, which enjoyed a great popularity among many guests, who enjoyed the exciting feeling that they had actually joined in the feast of the Straw Hat Pirates! Guests can have a fun party and fully enjoy the atmosphere of the feast of the Straw Hat Pirates at the restaurant while tasting meals such as “Lots of meat on a big plate (platter to share).” Guests can enjoy casual dining without the need for a reservation at Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant, which will open every day during its operation period. Sanji’s Pirates Restaurant, a very popular restaurant filled with many guests every day, has drawn the attention of an increasing number of guests each year. This summer, the restaurant will reopen at Lombard’s Landing as in previous years. At the restaurant, while enjoying an original show, guests can savor French cuisine created and cooked by Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, with love. Moreover, Sanji himself will move

around from table to table to offer hospitality to each guest. This summer, in addition to Luffy, and Zoro, “That character” will appear for the first time at the restaurant. Guests will feel a sense of excitement because they will be able to watch and interact with popular One Piece characters up close.  Special limited-only ONE PIECE items to be released one after another! These items, unique to Universal Studios Japan, make the event even more fun! Universal Studios Japan will offer a variety of Park original items one after another this summer, as it did in previous years. Besides one-of-a-kind Straw Hat Pirates goods, an abundant array of other goods will be released, including items that will help you disguise yourself as Trafalgar Law, a very popular One Piece character who appears in One Piece Premier Show, as well as items featuring Bepo and other popular characters! One Piece-related goods are available mainly at Jurassic Outfitters and other stores inside the Park.
