Wednesday’s game will begin a stretch of eight games in 11 days to close out the 2019 regular Sat Mar 23 vs Michigan (Lubbock, Tx) L, 16-6 season before the start of the ASUN Tournament, which will be played at Melching Field May 22-25. Tue Apr 2 UCF L, 13-4 It was a busy Saturday for the Hatters, who completed Friday’s 2-1 series-opening win against FGCU, and then took a 5-3 Fri Apr 5 NJIT* W, 4-3 victory in the second game of the series. The series finale was rained out, giving the Hatters a sweep of FGCU for the second Sun Apr 7 NJIT* W, 1-0 straight year and for just the third time in the 12-year history of the series. Stetson has won six consecutive games from Sun Apr 7 NJIT* L, 3-1 the Eagles and nine of the last 10 to close the all-time series to within 20-18 in favor of FGCU. Sat Apr 20 Kennesaw State* L, 2-1 Stetson has now won four of its six ASUN series so far this year and has won 14 of its last 17 league series overall. Tue Apr 23 at Florida State L, 9-8 Stetson is now 8-8 in one-run games and 3-3 in two-run games this year. One of those one-run losses came in the first Wed Apr 24 at Florida State L, 10-4 game against FSU. During the 2018 season the Hatters were 12-2 in one-run games and 8-2 in two run games. Stetson tied for the Florida State (since 2010) er Jake Murphy made his first start in the field, playing center NCAA lead with nine shutout wins in 2018. Nunez threw Overall: FSU leads 67-24 field. Murphy, who had played in 23 games over two years as a just three pitches to record three outs in the ninth inning, In DeLand: FSU leads 24-13 pinch-runner and defensive substitute, walked twice, was hit earning his sixth save of the year. In Tallahassee: FSU leads 41-11 Date Location Result by a pitch and had his first career hit, an RBI single. Paret was on the mound again for part of the second shut- 3/24/10 Tallahassee L 14-7 The Hatters were swept by Lipscomb, marking the first time out of the year on April 19-20.
