Auschwitz Historian Talk TY students as well as senior cycle History students attended a lecture by former Auschwitz historian and tour guide Robert Nowak. The talk was part of Literacy week and complements the TY History curriculum which includes the themes

of anti- Semitism and the Holocaust as well as Jewish studies. With literacy is mind, Mr Nowak also stressed the importance of the faithful recording of History in an era of fake news, unreliable reporting and unverified news feeds on social media. The talk was also timely as International Holocaust Remembrance Day takes place on January 27th. In

Condolences to the family and friends of Cameron Blair The Midleton College community would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cameron Blair. Cameron, a

former student of Bandon Grammar School, died tragically last Thursday; he was 20 years old. Many in the school community would have known Cameron through rugby, or as a student in Bandon or CIT.
