Ed in Goa; and (c) the reasons for not granting permission for new Higher Secondary Schools in Goa? 4 SHRI CHURCHILL ALEMAO TENDERED WORKS/PROJECTS IN BENAULIM CONSTITUENCY 002B. *WILL the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state: (a) the number of works/projects tendered from the year 2017-2019 in Benaulim Constituency; furnish the copies of the same; (b) the number of projects retendered from the year 2017-2019 in Benaulim Constituency with reason and furnish copies of the same; and (c) the solution which the Department has come up with to stop retendering of works in Benaulim Constituency? SHRI FRANCISCO SILVEIRA MID-DAY MEALS 003C. *WILL the Minister for Education be pleased to state: (a) the action the Government has taken to improve the quality and quantity of food supplied for mid-day meals for Schools in the State; (b) whether the Government will enhance the financial assistance for the provision of nutritious and tasty Mid-day meals to students of Schools; (c) whether the proper and regular checks are being conducted to check the quality food supplied under mid-day meals; (d) whether most of the students of higher classes rejected the mid-day meals, if so, the reasons thereof; and (e) the remuneration paid to helper of School for mid-day meals in Schools? 6 SHRI ISIDORE FERNANDES SHRI WILFRED D’SA SHRI CLAFASIO DIAS GOA MILES 004A. *WILL the Minister for Transport be pleased to state: (a) whether taxis under web APP Goa miles are given licenses to operate in Goa, if so the number of taxis that have been issued the licenses till date; (b) whether issuing such licenses in the interest of the State, local drivers/operators, if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government promotes Self- Employment Scheme to buy and operate as commercial taxi in the State; (d) the categories of taxi business in the State; (e) the details as to how the Government is currently supporting and would continue to support Taxi business in the State; (f) whether the license for taxi business are issued only to Goans by birth; (g) the details of the grievances that the local taxi operators are agitating against the Government and demanding withdrawal of Goa Miles Application/Management System; (h) the details of the actions initiated by the Government to address their concerns; (i) whether the Government will commit and ensure to protect the livelihood of the existing local taxi operators, if so, provide the details in terms of steps /schemes that are initiated by the Government till date to protect the business of the local taxi operators? SHRI ISIDORE FERNANDES WORKS IN CANACONA CONSTITUENCY 004B. *WILL the Minister for Water Resources be pleased to state: 7 (a) the total number of proposal of works received from Canacona Constituency from March, 2016 till date; (b) furnish the details of works, such as name of the work and its estimated cost; (c) whether works are tendered, name of work tendered, number of names of works with work order issued, number of works undertaken but incomplete work order issued but work not started, number and names of those that were completed; furnish the details along with name of agency, amount/cost of each work; (d) whether any works/projects are awaiting for expenditure sanctioning; if so, furnish the name of works; (e) if so, whether it is due to shortage of fund; (f) if not, the reasons for pendency of all works to be tendered; and (g) the list of works pending with reasons thereof? SHRI ISIDORE FERNANDES KAMDHENU SCHEME 004C. *WILL the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services be pleased to state: (a) whether it is a fact that the total milk requirement of Goa is approximately 4 lakhs litre/day; (b) whether milk production of Goa is approximately 168000 litre/day; (c) if so, the total milk imported/purchased from outside Goa to meet shortfall; (d) whether the milk purchased from outside Goa is thoroughly checked for its quality; (e) if yes, furnish the details thereof; (f) whether it is a fact that milk production has increased after introduction of Kamdhenu Scheme; (g) whether Kamdhenu Scheme still exists; if so, the details thereof; (h) the total number of applications received from Canacona Constituency for Kamdhenu Scheme since inception till date; (i) the total number of applications sanctioned; (j) the total number of applications pending and reasons for the pendency; 8 (k) the time frame by which the pending applications will be cleared; (l) the steps taken to encourage farmers to go for dairy farming; furnish the details thereof; and (m) whether the milk produced by Goa Dairy farmer is supplied to Co- operative Societies or locally supplied by Kamdhenu registered dairy farms; furnish details thereof? 005A & 005B - DELETED SHRI PRASAD GAONKAR DETAILS OF INFRASTRUCTURE OF SCHOOLS IN SANGUEM CONSTITUENCY 006A. *WILL the Minister for Education be pleased to state: (a) whether there is proper infrastructure in all the Schools in Sanguem Constituency including Government Primary Schools, Government Middle Schools, Government High Schools, Government Higher Secondary Schools; (b) if so, furnish details regarding up-gradation of schools; (c) if not, furnish details such as name, requirement of up-gradation of Schools; (d) whether there is any proposal to upgrade this Infrastructure; and (e) if so, furnish details such as estimates prepared, Administrative approval, expenditure sanctioned, date of tendered, name of Contractor, date of commencement, date of completion ? The National Anthem was played at the commencement of the Session.
