The National Sheepdog Trials are held every year in March other maintenance activities. There are always challenges to overcome in dog training, one day your dog can be doing a brilliant job on a piece of equipment and the next day they look at it as if they have not seen it before. The BDOC Disc Dogs have had a very busy session 2 hosting a workshop, participating in demonstrations and the first beginner’s intake.

DISC THROWING WORKSHOP, 17 FEBRUARY 2018 BDOC and CDC members attended a Disc Throwing Workshop run by BDOC. Participants learnt how to throw the disc, how to teach their dogs to bite and catch the disc and various UpDog games. A big thank you to Shannon West, Chris Bates and Kim Shrives for assisting in the running of the event. Thank you also to Pauline Dikmans (CDC) for supporting CDC members to attend the workshop.

Volume 11 / Issue 2 / April 2018 BELCONNEN DOG OBEDIENCE CLUB / 12 ACTEWAGL ROYAL CANBERRA SHOW, 23-25 FEBRUARY 2018 Representatives from VIC, NSW and ACT took part in UpDog demonstrations at the ActewAGL Royal Canberra Show. Have a go sessions were also available throughout the three days. It was fantastic to see new dogs and handlers achieving great results. Thank you to 4 Paws Sports for organising the opportunity to showcase UpDog at the show.
