Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) Westbound to Exit 20 (Mid-County Interchange I-476 South/Chester). Follow I-476 South to Exit 13 (Villanova/St. Davids). At the bottom of ramp turn right and proceed east on Lancaster Avenue (US-30) for just over a mile to Ithan Avenue and turn right. Proceed half a block south on Ithan Avenue and the Ithan Avenue Parking Garage will be on your left. From the West: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) to Exit 326 (Valley Forge). Take I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to Exit 331A (I-476 South/Chester). Follow I-476 South to Exit 13 (Villanova/St. Davids). At the bottom of ramp turn right and proceed east on Lancaster Avenue (US-30) for just over a mile to Ithan Avenue and turn right. Proceed half a block south on Ithan Avenue and the Ithan Avenue Parking Garage will be on your left. From the South: Take I-95 North to Exit 7 (I-476 North Plymouth Meeting). Take I-476 North to Exit 13 (Villanova/St. Davids). At the bottom of ramp turn right and proceed east on Lancaster Avenue (US-30) for just over a mile to Ithan Avenue and turn right. Proceed half a block south on Ithan Avenue and the Ithan Avenue Parking Garage will be on your left. BY TRAIN: Take AMTRAK or New Jersey Transit (via SEPTA) to the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Ask the attendant to direct you to the Regional Rail Trains (SEPTA).     MEDIA ALERT 11/1/19 – 11/3/19 VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY TO HOST SPECIAL OLYMPICS PENNSYLVANIA’S 31ST ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL, NOV. 1 – 3 Weekend Features, Philadelphia Eagles' Alex Singleton, Coach Jay Wright, and Unified Basketball Exhibition between Special Olympics Athletes and the Villanova Wildcats (Norristown, PA, October 29, 2019) – Special Olympics Pennsylvania’s (SOPA) 31st Annual Fall Festival, the largest student-run Special Olympics event in the world, will host approximately 1,200 coaches, athletes and Unified Partners representing 43 Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA) programs from Friday, November 1 through Sunday, November 3. More than 3,000 volunteers will be onsite throughout the weekend. The Games will commence at Villanova University with Opening Ceremonies in the new William B. Finneran Pavilion with special guests Villanova Basketball Coach Jay Wright, the Villanova Wildcats, and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker and SOPA’s newest Celebrity Ambassador, Alex Singleton. Throughout the weekend SOPA athletes will be participating in Roller Skating, Soccer 7v7, Volleyball, Bocce, Long Distance Running, and Powerlifting competitions. Additionally, the weekend will offer Healthy Habits interactive education stations; Healthy Athletes® non-invasive clinical screenings; Young Athletes activities; an “Olympic Town” providing athlete activities in-between sporting events; a Victory Dance; and Closing Ceremonies. A Word from the President In cities across the country and beyond, Father Donohue has been inviting alumni and friends to join him in realizing the vision of Villanova University’s Strategic Plan. Dear Alumni and Friends, hat’s next?” is a recurring question among energized Villanovans these days. It is also the title and theme of my current multi-city tour presenting the 2010 Strategic Plan, “Igniting the Heart. Inspiring the Mind. Illuminating the Spirit,” to Villanovans around the country and the world. It is a question I am excited to answer, because the Wfuture holds so much for all of us who love Villanova—especially our present and future students. Over the past five years we’ve accomplished much together. Three new buildings—the Davis Center for Athletics and Fitness, Driscoll Hall and the School of Law—were opened. One residence hall, Fedigan Hall, was completely renovated and two others—Sullivan and Sheehan Halls—are halfway there. Our Campus Master Plan was created and will help us manage our physical plant over the next three decades. The new Strategic Plan will strengthen our tradition of excellence and ensure that Villanova thrives for years to come. I took the Strategic Plan on the road last fall to share with all Villanovans our vision of the future. The tour has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my presidency. In city after city, I have met engaged alumni who are enthused about Villanova’s past, present and future.
