In leaf it looks just like a small decumbens; are nothing like decumbens and smell of horse manure. DNA sequencing shows it most closely related to Trillium stamineum. This is a mystery. Originally identified as a white form of , which it clearly is not. The flowers are creamy white, held below the leaves. Plants can get huge.
