Around the turn of the 20th century, with the invention of the gramophone record and radio broadcasting, there was a vast increase in music listening and it was easier to distribute music to a wider public. New recording technology, new musical technology and new listening technology have meant that the way of music has been changed completely. With the invention of recording technology, we have moved from records, to cassettes, to cds etc. The actual production of music has also been affected. Many artists rely on auto tuning technology, so that any imperfections in their pitch or tone can be corrected. Voices can be made to sound completely different in a recording studio. New genres of music has also been created. Electronic music genres rely on the use of electronic instruments to create sounds and songs that wouldn’t be possible with traditional instruments. There’s often a lot of prejudice in using these artificial methods. But as it is said, “ More of anything is bad”. So, advancement in technology should not completely change the way we listen to music or the way, music
