Government of Tamil Nadu GOVERNMENT OF TAMIL NADU ABSTRACT Irrigation - Formation of New tanks and supply channel project with the loan assistance from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development under RIDF - VII - Administrative approval for seven schemes at an estimated cost of Rs. 768.82 lakhs - Sanction - Accorded Public Works (W2) Department G O Ms. No.228 Dated 2nd July 2002 Read: 1) From National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Letter No. NBSPD/RIDF VII/Tamil Nadu/54PSC/2001-2002, dated 19.3.2002 and 55 PSC 2002-2003 dated 9.4.2002 2) From the Chief Engineer (Plan Formulation) Letter No.F1/2197/2001/Sr DO/National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development RIDF -VII, dated 9.4.2002 ORDER: The Chief Engineer, Plan Formulation, Water Resources Organisation, Public Works Department in his letter read above has reported that the project sanctioning Committee of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in its meeting held during March 2002 has approved the following Seven schemes for loan assistance under RIDF - VII and has submitted proposal seeking administrative sanction of the Government Sl Name of Scheme Estimate amount No. (Rs. in lakhs) 1 Formation of a new tank near Timmarajapuram village in 23.60 Thoothukudi District 2 Formation of a new tank near Alanda village in Srivaikuntam 23.60 taluk of Thoothukudi District 3 Formation of a new tank across Uppodai near Peikulam 58.51 village in Thirumangalam taluk, Madurai District 4 Formation of a new tank in Periyapuliyampatti village in 69.12 Aruppukkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District 5 Construction of a new tank across Nattar to feed 50.81 Kannangundu etc. tanks in Sivaganga Taluk and District 6 Construction of a new tank across surplus course of 15.18 Tirupathur big tank to feed Manayakanmoi in Tirupathur taluk, Sivagangai District 7 Reconstruction of Lakshmipuram Anicut at the U/s of 528.00 existing Anicut across Araniar river in Lakshmipuram village in Ponneri taluk, Tiruvallur District TOTAL 768.82 2. From the outlay of Rs. 768.82 lakhs for implementation of the Seven schemes mentioned in para 1 above, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in its letter first read above has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 631.25 lakhs as loan assistance with their terms and conditions. The amount to be contributed by the State Government is Rs.137.57 lakhs. Additional expenditure, if any have to be borne by the State Government. The period of the completion of the above project is prescribed as March 2004 3. National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development loan release chedule is as follows: For 2001-2002 - Rs. 108.69 lakhs For 2002-2003 - Rs. 407.26 lakhs For 2003-2004 - Rs. 115.30 lakhs 4. The Government accept the proposal of the Chief Engineer, Plan Formulation and accord administrative sanction for formation of the above said Seven new tanks and supply channel projects as mentioned in para 1 above at an estimated cost of Rs. 768.82 lakhs (Rupees Seven crores sixty eight lakhs and eighty two thousand only) of which Rs. 631.25 lakhs (Rupees Six crores thirty one lakhs and twenty five thousand only) is National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development loan component. 5. The expenditure is debitable to 4702.00 Capital outlay on Minor Irrigation - 101 Surface water schemes in the Ninth Five Year Plan - II State Plan - J1 Implementation of Special Minor Irrigation Programme with Loan Assistance from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - 16 Major works (DPC 4702 00 101 J1 1601 ) 6.
