The Kremlin is the urban development reserve of the capital, the treasure house of Russian culture and history. Kremlin was included in the list of World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Zaryadye — this is a new park, built in the historic center of the city, next to the Kremlin and Red Square.

Izmaylovo Market - also known as Vernisage in Izmaylovo - is considered to be the largest collection of artisans and stallholders in Moscow, where items of decorative and applied art, fine art and folk handicrafts can be found.

In 1963, the Mimics and Gesture Theatre was opened—the first professional theatre for deaf people in the world. Through the Soviet years, this theatre made numerous successful tours at home and abroad, staging over a hundred plays through the 1990s.

Secret Soviet bunker. The Protected Command Point is one of the most unusual museums in Moscow. After taking an express elevator to a depth of 65 meters, you'll discover a whole underground city. Built during the years of the cold war, it was meant to be a communications headquarters for state leaders in case of a nuclear attack.

The town of Sergiev Posad, situated 70 km to the north-east from Moscow. It is a real pearl of the Golden Ring. The architectural ensemble of the Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra is inscribed on the UNESCO list of the world cultural heritage.

The State museum of GULAG is devoted to one of the most miserable times in our history. Gulag is the acronym for Chief Administration of Corrective Labor Camps and Colonies but nowadays this word has come to mean the Soviet repressive system itself.

The Moscow metro looks different from subways in other European capitals. Each station has a unique and individual design. The halls are finished with marble and lit with chandeliers, walls and ceilings glitter in mosaics and stained-glass windows. No surprise it was often called “marble palaces for the people.”
