Msc Cruises Resumes Operations in Spain As Msc Grandiosa Adds Barcelona to Its Current Itinerary from 26 June
MSC CRUISES RESUMES OPERATIONS IN SPAIN AS MSC GRANDIOSA ADDS BARCELONA TO ITS CURRENT ITINERARY FROM 26 JUNE • International guests now able to better connect to cruise also by plane from leading international airport in Barcelona • Valencia to be added as an additional port of call as of 30 July • Announcement by the line follows those of its resumption of service in the UK, Germany, France and the Baltics in addition to the Mediterranean Geneva, Switzerland, 3 June 2021 - MSC Cruises today announced it will restart its sailing operations in Spain with the deployment of MSC Grandiosa to Barcelona from 26 June for a Saturday embarkation. Valencia will then be added as an additional port of call as of 30 July. This follows recent announcements by the line that its ships are restarting operations in Germany, France and the Baltics in addition to its current and other Summer 2021 confirmed itineraries in the West and East Mediterranean as well as UK. Barcelona is also a major international travel hub with a leading airport that international guests can now fly to and join their cruises directly. Gianni Onorato, CEO, MSC Cruises, said: “When we first announced our confirmed programmes for summer 2021, we indicated that we would enrich them with any new ports and destinations as they became available. This is the case today with Spain and Barcelona, thus allowing our guests to visit this magnificent destination that has been unavailable since March of last year thanks to the secure bubble ashore excursions we provide under our health and safety operating protocol. -

The delivery ceremony took place in the presence of Gianluigi Aponte, the shipowner as well as Founder and Executive Chairman of MSC Group, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Cruises, Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri, Massimiliano Fedriga, Governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Luca Zaia, Governor of Veneto. With her sister ship MSC Seaside, delivered last November, MSC Seaview is the second ship to be built by Fincantieri for MSC Cruises in 6 months. With a gross tonnage of over 153 thousand tons and a length of 323 meters, MSC Seaview is the largest and most technologically advanced ship ever to be designed and built in Italy. MSC Seaview is pushing the boundaries of pioneering ship building and design. MSC Seaview will be one of the more innovative ships at sea, also when it comes to the environmental technology that she will feature. In fact, not only she will comply with the highest international standards with this respect but will also receive from international classification society RINA – in addition to the main Class notations – its “Green Star 3 Design” notation in recognition of the attention that was paid to these aspects during the design and construction of the ship. RINA’s Green Star 3 – the latest and most comprehensive edition of the RINA’s Green STAR additional class notations – specifically recognises that MSC Seaview reaches the greatest levels of eco-compatibility thanks to the relevance of the various innovative measures put in place which help reduce the environmental footprint during operations. -

Msc Confirms Luxury Ships Order with Fincantieri
MSC CONFIRMS LUXURY SHIPS ORDER WITH FINCANTIERI The four new vessels will be delivered by Fincantieri between 2023 and 2026 Geneva, Switzerland, and Trieste, Italy, 14 March 2019 – MSC and Fincantieri announced today the signing of the final contracts for the construction of four luxury cruise ships. Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC’s Cruises Division, said: “With this now firm order, MSC is entering a new segment that bears significant potential globally. While we already serve the premium market with the MSC Yacht Club featured on MSC Cruises’ fleet, our new true luxury brand will deliver to this separate and fast-growing segment with super-yacht vessels and an experience to match that. Additionally, we are proud to partner again with Fincantieri for the development and construction of yet again another highly-innovative and exclusive class of ships.” Giuseppe Bono, Fincantieri’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Today’s announcement confirms our Group’s ability and strength to convert the soft backlog into backlog. We are proud to have achieved this important goal in less than five months from the preliminary agreement. Fincantieri’s reputation in a complex market such as the cruise one is at an all-time high. Our leadership in the luxury segment, among the most active ones, grows even stronger with these four ships, alongside our relationship with MSC and its growth plans.” All four vessels will have gross tonnage of approximately 64,000 GT and will feature the latest maritime and environmental technologies available. Msc Cruises Names First Seaside Evo Ship Msc Seashore As First Steel Is Cut at Fincantieri Shipyard
MSC CRUISES NAMES FIRST SEASIDE EVO SHIP MSC SEASHORE AS FIRST STEEL IS CUT AT FINCANTIERI SHIPYARD Entering into service in spring 2021, the first Seaside EVO ship will become an even larger and richer sister ship in the Seaside Class Geneva, Switzerland / Monfalcone, Italy, 26 November 2018 – MSC Cruises, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise company and leading cruise brand in Europe, South America, South Africa and the Gulf, and Fincantieri, heir to the great tradition of Italian shipbuilding and one of the largest shipbuilding groups in the world, today cut the first steel of MSC Seashore, the first of two MSC Cruises Seaside EVO ships currently on order at Fincantieri. At a ceremony held at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman Pierfrancesco Vago and Fincantieri’s Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Bono launched the cutting of the first steel of this new ship. Coming into service in Spring 2021, the 169,400 GT MSC Seashore will be the first in its kind, further enriching MSC Cruises’ Seaside Class of ships with new cutting edge features including: an additional lounge at the aft part; a further enhanced MSC Yacht Club covering three forward decks; specialty restaurants at the level of the promenade at deck 8 for dining al fresco whilst being close to the sea; a larger number of whirlpools across the ship; and 200 additional cabins as well as even more generous public spaces. Moreover, the Seaside EVO ships will be equipped with the latest advanced environmental technology, including a selective catalytic reduction system; exhaust gas cleaning technology; state-of-the-art waste management and recycling systems; advanced water treatment systems; and an advanced energy and heat recovery system, as well as other technology and measures to further increase energy efficiency.
