A Christmas Message from the Pastor Dear Parishioners,

As we look forward with great expectation and anticipation to Christmas Day, let us rejoice that our newborn Savior Jesus Christ is “God with us.” He was sent to us so that we could enter into a holy and intimate relationship with Him. Let us rejoice and be glad!

As we share our beautiful Christmas liturgies, in person or on line, may our newborn Savior always be that radiant light that gives us hope even in these challenging times.

On behalf of Fr. Raj, Deacon Carl and the parish staff I wish you a Christmas full of peace, gratitude, joy and love.

Fr. Dave

Parish of the Precious Blood has been doing a New Year’s tradition to choose a new Patron for each family member each year. In the past, we pulled the name of a Saint from a basket. With COVID, we are changing it up to ensure everyone’s safety.

From the list provided, choose a saint that you feel would be a good fit for you– something relative to you.

Here are some ideas for celebrating the yearly or you can make it a family affair:

 Put a statue of that saint in your home.

 Give your children holy cards or inexpensive saint medals of the saint.

 Learn about your saint over the year.

 Celebrate your saint’s feast day.

 Do a quick google search to see if your saint has a prayer you can say together on New Year’s day or throughout the year, and put up somewhere in your home. Include this prayer in your bedtime prayer routine for the year.

 Make crafts and do activities with your children relating to their saint and his or her patronage.

Good luck in selecting a Saint that you can rely on for the year 2021.
