LESSON NOTES/ACTIVITY: LANGUAGE OF NEWSPAPER REPORTING From Nadi Kaji To The International Stage Of Rugby By Waisea Nasokia The battle between the Flying Fijians and the All Blacks in Dunedin, New Zealand, will be special for three friends. Flying Fijians hooker Peniami Narisia and back rower Kitione Kamikamica are likely to make their debut for the Vern Cotter coached- side. If that happens then they are up against their rugby kaji team-mate, Sevu Reece. They represented Nadi in the Chow Kaji rugby competition. They were members of the RNC U16 rugby side that won the 2012 national championship. Reece was then scouted by Queen Victoria School and played in the side that won the Deans Trophy before moving to New Zealand. Narisia joined Kamikamica in the Fijian U20 side that played in the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championships. Three different pathways and 12 years later, the three will meet for the first time as foes on a forecasted chilly night at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin. Today, Reece plays for Crusaders in Super Rugby while Narisia and Kamikamica are playing for Brive in the French Top 14 competition. Fiji Rugby Union manager operations and former Flying Fijians utility, Sale Sorovaki in an earlier interview highlighted programmes such as the Kaji rugby, is the pinnacle of development for Fijian rugby. Arriving in Bordeaux By air you will land at Bordeaux-Merignac airport, from outside arrivals you can take the Jet Bus that operates to the train station via the city centre every 45 minutes. The cost is €7 one way and €12 return. Tickets can be bought on the bus. Taxis are also available, expect to pay circa €20 between the airport and city centre. The airport is located 10kms from the centre of Bordeaux.
