The International e-Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farming System (ICoSAFS 2020) was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia. The ICoSAFS 2020 was conducted to facilitate exchanges among researchers about the advanced progress in sustainable agriculture and farming system research. The e-conference successfully attracted as many as 271 attendants, 80 presentations and scientists from 10 countries including Croatia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and the USA. The major scientific presentation topics discussed in the ICoSAFS 2020 include agricultural economics, farming system, landscape, plant production, plant protection, soil science, sustainable agriculture, and other miscellaneous topics associated with sustainable agriculture and farming system. 1. Introduction Sustainable agriculture systems are among the focus subjects of researchers, farmers, and policymakers in various parts of the world. Sustainable agriculture practices are low input, promote organism diversity and use energy effectively and efficiently. A sustainable agriculture system is expected to meet food needs sustainably and minimize environmental damage of modern agriculture's negative side. Sustainable agriculture views agriculture as an overall system optimization known as an agroecosystem concept. The main focus of sustainable agriculture is the production of certain commodities but also stability and sustainability. For this reason, the key to sustainable agriculture is to restore the organism diversity in agricultural land. Increase diversity is achieved through time and space dimensions. Diversity in time can be done by crop rotation, while the spatial dimension is by cover crops, intercropping, agroforestry and other similar practices. The International e-Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farming System (ICoSAFS 2020) was held to facilitate the stakeholders' growing interest in sustainable agriculture. ICoSAFS 2020 was organized in collaboration with the Indonesian Forum of Higher Education Content from this work may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence. The Aims of the ICoSAFS 2020 The aims of the International e-Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farming System (ICoSAFS 2020) are: 1. Creating media and scientific forums to discuss the latest developments of sustainable agriculture and farming system. 2. Encouraging and facilitating networking for Indonesian researchers and the IPB academic community at the international level. 3. Mediating publication of the research results for Indonesian researchers and the IPB academic community in a SCOPUS indexed proceeding. 3. The Activities of the ICoSAFS 2020 The ICoSAFS 2020 was organized in two-day's activities on 24 – 25 September 2020. The second day of the ICoSAFS 2020 was the parallel session presentations of 72 participants from universities and research institutions. On the second day, ICoSAFS 2020 was organized in four different Zoom rooms. Each Zoom room organized four sessions, and within each session - there are 4-5 presentations. 4. The participants of the ICoSAFS 2020 The total participants attending the ICoSAFS 2020 were 271 attendants, consisted of invited speakers, presenters, and organizing committee members. Excluding the organizing committee members, the participants represented the academicians (i.e. lecturers, students and researchers from universities) and the research institutes. Based on their country of origin, 31 participants were from abroad (Croatia, France, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Taiwan, the USA, and Vietnam), and 240 were from Indonesia. A breakdown of the total participants of the International e-Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farming System (the ICoSAFS 2020) based on their affiliations is presented in Figure 1. Out of 271 total participants, 80 participants presented their research findings, and seven were the invited speakers (Figure 1). Meanwhile, the breakdown of the ICoSAFS 2020 country of origin of the participants is presented in Figure 2. Most of the ICoSAFS participants were from Indonesia (89%) and the rest were from nine different countries (11%). The highest number of participants abroad were from Japan (12 participants), Malaysia (8), Taiwan (4) and the USA (2) (Figure 2). There is a representative one participant from each of the following countries: Croatia, France, Mongolia, Nepal and Vietnam (Figure 2). 2 International e-Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Farming System IOP Publishing IOP Conf.
