Golden Corral recently celebrated the grand-opening of its newest store in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The new eatery will employ about 140 hourly workers and five managers. The restaurant chain is most prominent in the South, but the company has recently focused on expanding to other areas. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen plans to open a new restaurant in February 2017 in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The fast-food chain offers a variety of chicken and seafood meals. The 46-seat restaurant is scheduled to open at the former Nellie Kelly’s facility on Haight Avenue.
