Employee Handbook Mathis Independent School District Employee Handbook 20112015-20122016 Texas Education Agency Division of Career and Technical Education (Public Notification of Nondiscrimination in Career and Technical Education* Programs) Mathis Independent School District (ISD) offers career and technical education programs in agriculture, business, trade and industrial, health occupations, and industrial technology. Admission to these programs is based on student interest and aptitude. It is the policy of Mathis ISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or handicap in its vocational programs, services or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Mathis ISD will take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational programs. IMPORTANT NOTES * These programs are called "Career and Technical Education" in Texas, but the applicable civil rights laws use the term "vocational." Paragraph 1 should include any general local criteria for admission to the program (example: interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space availability). Paragraphs 1, 2, and 5 should be included in materials announcing career and technical education programs. Paragraphs 3 and 5 should be included in materials which do not announce career and technical education programs, such as employment applications, sources of referral of applicants for employment, contracts with employers, unions, or professional organizations, etc. Paragraph 4 should be included if your service area contains a community of persons with limited English language skills. The entire notification must be disseminated to that community in its language. DISCUSSION Petitioner respectfully submits that the public interest would be served by allocating Channel 245C3 to Christine, Texas as that community's first local aural transmission service. Christine, Texas is an incorporated community of 436 people.' Christine has its own mayor, Walter Stevens, its own city offices, its own post office, its own volunteer fire department and a number of local churches. The proposed Channel 245C3 will provide additional diversity and an outlet for local self-expression to Christine residents and therefore is in the public interest. In order for Channel 245C3 to he allotted at Christine, Texas, the pending allotment for Channel 245C3 at Tilden, Texas will need to be replaced with Channel 2S0A. The substitution of Channel 250A for Channel 24SC3 at Tilden, Texas has the approval of the original proponent and only person to file an expression of interest in that proceeding. (See,Attachment A) Additionally, four other vacant allotments will need to be replaced with equivalent channels. They are, Channel 250A at George West for Channel 273A, Channel 273A at San Diego with Channel 232C3, Channel 232A at Hebbronville with Channel 280A and Channel 280A at Zapata with Channel 292A.

    ACUERDO ENTRE EL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS Y EL GOBIERNO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DE AMERICA RELATIVO AL SERVICIO DE RADIODIFUSION EN FM EN LA BANDA DE 88 A 108 MHz. El Gobierno de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos y el Gobierno de los Estados Unidos de América, las Partes, deseando continuar su mutuo entendimiento y cooperación concerniente a la radiodifusión en FM y reconociendo el derecho soberano de ambos países en el manejo de sus telecomunicaciones; tomando en cuenta las disposiciones del Artículo 31 del Convenio Internacional de Telecomunicaciones Nairobi, 1982, y el Artículo 7 del Reglamento de Radiocomunicaciones (Edición 1982), considerado como anexo al Convenio antes mencionado; a fin de proteger las estaciones de radiodifusión de los dos países; y deseando mejorar la utilización de la banda de frecuencias de 88 a 108 MHz atribuida a este servicio; Han acordado lo siguiente: ARTICULO 1 Definiciones Para el propósito de este Acuerdo, los términos definidos en el Reglamento de Radiocomunicaciones se aplicarán, excepto para las siguientes definiciones específicas: Administración: La Dirección General de Normas de Sistemas de Difusión de la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos y la Federal Communications Commission, de los Estados Unidos de América; Acuerdo: Este Acuerdo y sus Anexos; Adjudicación: Provisión para el uso de un canal específico, identificado con una población o localidad en particular, la cual está protegida, sobre la base de sus parámetros máximos permitidos, de adjudicaciones
