SEEN SPIKE THIS year marks the centenary of Stanwell Women’s Institute. The first meeting was held on 1st May 1919 and we are still going strong with over 60 members. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month in Stanwell Village Hall and are always happy to welcome new members. For this centenary year we have planned a full programme with many events for our members to look for- ward to. Amongst them will be our speciala birthday party in May and in October we will be holding a special of thanks- giving at St Mary the Virgin Church, Stanwell, where we will be welcoming some very special guests - more infor- mation will follow. Over the last few months we have been knitting and crocheting buntings, which we will use to yarn-bomb our village green on our birthday. Check out our Facebook page at Stanwell WI to see what else is going on. New Heathrow plans show REWARD OFFERED FOR SAFE RETURN My name is Spike.
