Philippine College of Emergency Medicine, Inc.

HISTORY

It was in early 2009 that the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine and Acute Care (PCEMAC) and the Philippine Society of Emergency Care Physicians (PSECP) began the process of merging into a single national specialty society for Emergency Medicine, with the encouragement and guidance of the Philippine Medical Association.

A Steering Committee was organized to work towards the merger of the PCEMAC and PSECP. After several meetings, the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine (PCEM) was born.

BREAKING BARRIERS 2017 PCEM ANNUAL CONVENTION CHAIRMAN

M E S S A G E

Bold and beyond! These two words best describe the intensity of what Breaking Barriers is all about.

It all started with a simple dream, a simple goal. To deliver the Philippine College of Emergency Medicine 2017 Annual Convention in a manner that you, our participants, take home and share an experience of a lifetime. With the inspiration of the spirit of the living God, we were able to gather the best team of passionate and dedicated individuals who share a common vision of a recognized world-class emergency medicine society, living in the essence of promoting quality emergency medical care in our country. Our mission was to go beyond the ordinary by conceptualizing a great theme, Breaking Barriers. A theme that is bold to tackle current issues and controversies in our practice. We have prepared an interesting and cohesive scientific program and hands-on workshops. We want to showcase the latest trends, innovations and advancement in the emergency medicine field and at the same time share the fun and excitement of being reunited with our friends, our colleagues and our extended family.

With God first, I would like to express my sincerest appreciation to the following: To the annual convention committee members who shared themselves tirelessly and beyond capacity, no words can explain how you have inspired us and helped us achieve another success. To our loyal partners in the health care service, we thank you for always believing and sharing your blessings with us. Our growth is yours as well. We hope that you continue to be part of the emergency medicine family and be our lifelong partners. To you, our participants, we dedicate Breaking Barriers with all our heart. Your participation is the core of this success.

We welcome you once again but at the same time leave you with a challenge to achieve more by being bold and beyond in BREAKING BARRIERS.

Maraming Salamat Po!
